I don't believe in AR Rahman music he is a very overated musician for me. He was the music director of Ponniyin Selvan movie which was a very boring and average and sometimes feels very bad. I hope I am wrong but the producers here seem to be just getting crew which are most known in their respective fields, and if they are unable to catch Ramayan's main essence regardless of having good visuals, acting and music, the movie will just end up being a passable one. Just betting on big names should not be the way to go; the final product is what matters.

I think the Ramayan trilogy is sorted in terms of visuals and I think ARR is a good music director his best work is Robot album so I hope he will make music of that level and Hans Zimmer sir will kill it as always we can't underestimate him. Arun Govil said that Ranbir is a good kid, a good actor and I think he will change himself. Nitesh Tiwari said that he will not change and experiment with Valmiki's Ramayana and Yash is an awesome choice for Ravan but I have doubts about Sai Pallavi as Maa Sita but she is a good actress so if she changes herself it's good. I think better choices would have been Anushka Shetty or Mrunal Thakur and as music director M. M. Keeravani sir I think the first part will end at Sita Haran, part 2 will end at the completion of Ram Setu and part 3 will end at Bhagwan Ram and Maa Sita coming back to Ayodhya. But still, my dream casting and crew would be:- Bhagwan Ram: Prabhas or Mahesh Babu or new talent and dedicated actor Maa Sita: Anushka Shetty or Mrunal Thakur or new talent and dedicated actress Bhagwan Hanuman: Jr Ntr or Ram charan Laxman: Adivi Sesh Ravan: Yash or new talent and dedicated actor Director: SS Rajmouli or S. if you are looking at AR Rahmans currents movie it might not be comparable to his earlier work...but if you have heard Pal bhar hai bhari from swades he has given a great musical hit...his classical knowledge is good...but the directors n his current western influence and demand his recent music is not comparable to his earlier days...

AR Rahman's foreign style music can't be suited for Ramayana. I think BGM work should be given to only B. Ajaneesh Loknath or M. M. Kreevani. In my opinion, Ajaneesh Loknath is the best and most underrated Music composer in India, he has created best in class BGMs in all categories, emotional in Dia, mythological in kantara, mangalavaaram, Virupaksha, suspenseful in Hero, birbal, and creative in upcoming UI movie. Anirudh is highly overrated, his music is suitable for action films only and AR rahman is also overrated.

I want really want bgm (tamasoma jyotirgamaya) like matrix movie, actual valmiki ramayana sokha fused with some banger background music will take the movie next level.
