One of the very few songs that shows how philosophical and theoretical the writer is, which is extremely rare among hmong song writers. The edition was also more than perfect. The song fits best with Yasmi's voice. I had to listen to this twice to really understand the deep meaning of the words and after the second time, I was addicted. Been playing this non-stop. I don't think I've ever heard a song portraying the emotions of one's heart and soul being stolen by the person we love the most in such a beautiful, poetic and hauntingly heart breaking way. This has got to be one of your best! Even to the most unbelieving of women, or someone who hasn't experienced this sort of pain in a relationship in a long long time, this song can still break the heart. =( …

I like that at the end he say "txog caiij koj tsim, koj tsis muaj cuab muaj yig" and he left her. She finally can let go and her soul can finally find a new place for love. she can finally love again. very poetically written. Edit it: My interpretation of the song. because in her song she says in the beginning that she was in love with him but not as much as her soul was in love with the guy too deeply that it didn't know the physical form was fighting with the lover. hint: they broke up n became enemy that's why she keeps dreaming that they were still a couple,married and he love her still. ( that's why she was confused when she saw the lover in her dreams again). She tells herself (soul) that she not with the guy anymore and to stop dreaming of him and longing for him. Hint: She goes on a soul journey in her dream to tell her soul to find a new place( come back home) however, at the end she wants to stay in the dream (perhaps this time her spirt found a lover in a different world and the guy looks just like her ex lover n they were happy but she (He) says "time to wake up cause you haven't have kids and started a family" then he left her and she woke up from the dream. She finally can let go now because she found the reason to why she couldn't be happy in reality when they broke up (her soul was sad). Now it's not because the soul is now with understanding with the physical form. She is now again complete with herself.

Wow this song speaks volumes! My parents divorced when i was a little child. Due to the Hmong culture, I was given to my mom and so Im split between my parents. Times when I visit my dad he would reminiscent about my mom. When I'm with my mom and talks about my dad she would reminiscent about him as well. I bet they often dreams of each other even though they've been divorce for over 30+ yrs! I cried listening to this song!

Sorry for your loss. I loss my little brother when i was 11... I'm 31 now and the pain ahs never left me once. I miss him everyday, and my heart achs everytime i think about him. Truth is, he will always linger in your heart. You will never move on, and you dont have to move on from him... but keep moving on with time. Over time things will get easier and remember to love yourself.
