I’m so surprised ppl saying they not dancing a majorette style. The song they dancing to is literally the epitome of majorette dancing. I LOVEEEEE the Dancing Dolls. But Ms Traci be having them girls togetha! You hear me 🥵 they bucked, stunted and technique crispier than a piece of catfish at granny’s fish fry. They just on a different level 🤷🏾♀️
The judges aren't chosen by Lifetime. They are chosen by the organization that hosts that particular competition. In fact, many times, each team is allowed to bring their own judge at certain competitions. You are right about this being a great performance though.
Don't get me wrong I love the dancing dolls but they KILL me with their technique. No dancing dolls are doing axels, switch leaps, turning Russians, none of that. And they don't point their toes :( but YCDT are technically trained dancers and it shows. Traci does not play!

I love the DD but this team is on a whole different level. I am so impressed with this routine. every single girl was on POINT! For the song choice, their routine was spectacular. OH, how the enter and exit the floor, start and end their stands is killa!
DAMN! These girls walk with SWAG!!! I think this is what you call creative dancing. A little of everything. I really think they give it to the Dance Dolls because of the show. You don't expect a stranger from out town to take all your trophies. LOL..
YCDT is the best jazz/ lyrical dance teams I've seen. Dancing Dolls is the best Majorette /Hip Hop dance team I've seen. But competing against each other is crazy, Because they have different dance styles. YCDT wanted exposure so that they could get a spend off show. Always a DD4L Fan...

Are you sure? This was the first time DD competed against the YCDT Superstarz. Actually it was their ONLY and FIRST time competing against them. This is where they did the lyrical routine. Dianna even said on the episode, "We beat the YCDT at their game, and they beat us at ours," referring to how they beat YCDT at their best which is lyrical, ad how YCDT beat them at their best which is stands. Also, the Beyonce inspired routine occurred at the first half of the first season. This episode occurred at the second half of the first season. Im JUST Joking

this dance was good but it was soooo much goin on that my eyes were all over the place I didn't know where I should look. like one girl over here doin leaps while the other person is over here doin splits and jumps I didn't know where I should look but they are some great dancers
To me it was way to many dance styles jumbled into one, like they were trying to show off ALL of their strengths in one routine, which after watching the show an how the coach acts I can see why! She was cocky an trying to prove a point an her choreograph showed it.
Glamgirl2013 They actually will kill them too because the have technique and sass. To me ALDC dancers do not have any hip hop or truly sassy routines. Nia could never take Misha!!
this was way more creative than dancing on chairs. bringing the moms out were not creative. prancing tigerettes did it in a competition before. real dancers understand the art of dancing. this was amazing. split leaps, switch leaps, extensions, tilts, spins and more. none of with the dancing dolls, diana, or the judges seem to know how to do
The Superstarz are one of the best teams out. Their style in dance is perfect. But the only thing that's not very good , is their position and transitions.... They have to be more precise, they be all over the place. But The Dancing Dolls just has good choreography & position and transition. & They are able to keep attention. They can have a 3 min stand, and you never get bored while watching.
omg i loved it what place did you get since DD took first. and please tell me you got the stand battle cuz what i seen on tv i knew ycdt won that hands down way to rep Miami my hometown love you guys. i hope ya battle them again and the purple diamonds i would love to see that match up.
Great job and not taking away from their talent but I wish they would focus more on pointing their toes to finish the line versus all of the booty shaking. I get the culture but come on now some of those dances are a little bit too much for girls their age.
I get it now. Y'all have the wrong idea of what majorette style dance teams are about. This was a good routine. However, it's usually a more in depth description of what is expected theme wise. Sometimes less is more. You need some entertainment value. It was his but that Beyonce routine was more memorable. You have to create those types of moments to win these types of competitions.
I liked the cheerleader basket toss. Good dancers, but what was the theme of this creative dance? Posing, leaps and flexibility. On the other hand ...ita Majorette style team routines are supposed to be entertaining and the audience expects that.
YCDT are good dancers but I get bored watching them tbh... I see why Dancing Dolls won because they were more entertaining to watch. YCDT got too much going on at the same time...
Every time I hear from Traci she's always down sizing Dd4L as if they're not good AT ALL. She's always saying dd4l isn't the best, while at the same time pointing out what she thinks make her superstars bigger than life. Traci, please have several seats, an auditorium of seats!!! I'm not saying her superstars aren't good because they are. She needs to learn to give props and respect where it's due. I personally think she's jealous that dd4l has a show. Traci continues to drag those girls waaay from Florida to compete against dd4l in hopes of getting her own spin off television show, but that's just my own personal opinion. No matter what, DD4L introduced the world to majorette dancing, they are GREAT at what they do. And Yes!! I am a fan... For life!!

I like YCDT but I'm really confused as to why their creative dance is so dry! In their premier in Bring it, the first time they were introduced to the show their creative dance performance was bland. Maybe they need to switch up their costumes, and maybe to even see a variation in theme would bring something different. Their technique looks good, but just watching them dance, it isn't enough to the overall performance. They do much better in stands! Granted they're a new team, they've been a dance company for years, from what I've seen. They could be better!
