Cool video, recently upgraded a business from W52P to all W56P DECTS and had no issues, custom backgrounds on the new colour LED screen look great.

Cool to know the W60P supports the extra handsets. I think my favorite new feature maybe the pre removed battery covers on the handsets they are shipping now!

From what I was reading on the FreePBX community forum is that Sangoma's cordless unit is going to be about $200 (whenever it comes out). That might just bur MSRP, but this Yealink seems to be a better value for the money.

Note: The Sangoma DB20 (DECT Base Unit) doen't support POE.. You have to use the power brick.

hi bud. i have a strange problem. my yealink t21p phones can dial dtmf on a menu no problem when phoning a corporate, but i have replaced them with t33g phones and now cannot dial some dtmf menus. latest firmware, tried all 4 modes of dtmf setting on the phone, completely stumped. any ideas please?

How do we set it up so 3 handsets are all all the same extension. Meaning they can all listen into the call and easily pickup..

Hi, I have 3 of these unites (W60B with W56H handset )and even I tried to reset to factory reset (admin/admin)but sill can not login to W60B. do you know How to use the Zero Touch method to change the password? thanks in advance.

I have tried to set up 2 extra phones all the tutorials say the way to get in is via your ip address then admin admin this does not work it gives me this message (You are not authorized to access the web interface. Please contact your support team or try again 12 minutes later. HTTP 403) can you please advise what i can do to set up these 2 extra phones thank you

do we need to go through all the ip setup, or are we able to just plug and play like any other dect "cordless" phone (in the uk) also can you give us an example of what it sounds like when you are listening to a call being left, ie when you are listening to the caller leave a message. as i need one that you can hear downstairs aswell as from the unit upstairs

Have just received my Yealink W56H set up, I have set up a local directory on one phone but I need this imput to be on all phones, is this possible without doing it individually on every handset.

You mention that this "used" to be your go to phone around 1:30-- were you referring to the base change or were you hinting that you prefer a different make now (like Sangoma)?

Sangoma has not released their cordless phone yet. It's being worked on, but not released.

Can you connect the Yealink W60B (base units) together to extend the range of the wireless phones?

No you can’t - but, they sell separate range extenders if you need more range.

@@CrosstalkSolutions We have a large manufacturing plant (288' x 362')(apprx 104,000 sq ft) with multiple areas/warehouses.We want to have a few cordless phones/extensions that can be reached anywhere in the plant. The 50meter range will not be enough. Do you know of any DECT systems that will work with FreePBX where the BASE STATIONS can be linked to cover a large area? Thanks for your response.

The handset alone is now $94.94 and the kit is $171.07. Also, I know you mentioned FreePBX, but what about something like RingCentral?

Are the W52, W56, and W60 all cross compatible? Could I add a W56H to my existing W52P setup,or if I upgrade to a W60P, could I reuse my W52H?

I believe yes - you can put a W52H or W56H onto the W60 DECT base station.

No roaming or additional base station capability -> what a crappy technology. But I guess in the „affordable“ category this is all you can get for now... Also remember: 4 concurrent calls very likely means also max 4 simultaneous ringing devices!

Man...you are salty. They do have DECT repeaters that can be used to extend range. Not everyone can afford a $600 handset. This phone is a good value for what you get.

I installed the W56 in a grocery store with 5 repeaters, the base is in the middle and have 5 repeaters surrounding the base. We have very hard time with this setup, handset disconnect randomly, and do not reconnect until you restart it near the base. Finally my client giveup and I refunded it. Maybe I missed something, but in a setup with only one base, I am sure it is ok. But forget the repeaters.
