That’s amazing!! I told my husband that I wanted to do the same and he was like…. “But I need you, we need you!” Lol, I’m going to have to mentally prepare him for a planning weekend next year from like mid-year, because I can definitely appreciate the need to have a quiet space of a few days to plan and schedule the next year. I’m so happy you’re revved up to get to your own planning sesh!

I have the same 2 years this coming up “school year” plus a year 4. I’m super excited about doing year 2 again. Loved Little Duke so much. :) I’m currently surrounded by piles of printouts, spiral binder and laminator. :)
Only another homeschool mama or teacher knows the joy of that feeling of being surrounded by all the printouts, binders and things. Lol. I’ve heard so many good things about Little Duke, I can’t wait to dive into it. 📚

Eeeks!! My fire is roaring..I’m so tickled about these bookmarks!!!! I’m anxious to pick out recitation selections & memory work. Do you use other AO mom’s shared selections or do you do that yourself??
Yay! I’m sis excited that your excited to start planning next year! For recitation we get a poetry book for the rotation of poets in AO for the year and just read through a few until we come to one we like and then start memorizing it for recitation. We also do memory work with a history timeline song, presidents song, Bible verses, and I think I’m going to add a states and capitals song this year.
Aw Thx but I can’t take credit for them. They were created by an awesome AO mama that posted them on the AO FB group. She made them for Years 1-6 I believe. You can get them really easily if you’re part of the group. (If you’re not part of that group yet just look up “Ambleside Online” on Facebook Groups and request to join.) Then type in the search bar “bookmark” and you’ll find them. 🤓
Sorry for the delayed reply. Do you mean the info for each year for Ambleside Online? If that’s what you’re referring to I simply print it straight from the Ambleside Online website for the year the child is entering. If you mean the schedules, I was able to find the template for those on the Ambleside Online Facebook group. If it’s neither, please let me know which one you’re referring to and I’ll help you out with that.
Thanks! It’s actually a template I borrowed from a mama on the AO Facebook Group. If you search “schedule” you’ll see many canva templates for the different years. I saved it to my cree canva account and just changed out the schedule to suit our needs. I would share the template if it were my original design but since it’s not I can’t. But you can find it very easily for free on the AO Facebook group.
@@thisisme_cristi Thank you! I'll definitely have to look their group up. I'm adding my 4 yr old to the lesson plan this year. I like how there are subjects together and independent as well. My kids are 13 and 4.
Yes I love being able to gather my kids and do as much school with both of them as possible. That’s entirely possible by doing an enrichment and morning rotation. The great thing is that your 13 year old should be old enough that when it’s time to do his independent work he probably can do it mostly by himself with minimal help from yo, giving you time to work with your 4 yr old.

Those were downloaded straight from the Ambleside Online Facebook group. If you search for bookmarks on the top of the page you’ll see years 1-5, I believe, in different posts.

That’s so wonderful to hear! I actually didn’t make the initial schedule. An incredible AO mama made them and shared her Canva designs with all the AO schedule attached to it already. In it she gives instructions on how to save the template and make it your own. So I did just that. If you search on the AO FB group for “schedule” you’re sure to find each years schedule that she has put up. Follow the instructions to save the template and then you can change the names, colors, books, etc.
They really are!! Saw you on there the other day. I’ve been hanging out on there in my free moments because I always see new ideas that I’d like to try to implement foe the next year. One can learn so much from the veteran AOers.
Oh, & would you be willing to share you daily assignment template that you are using for kiddos? ( it was the one that had your kids name in the upper corner & subject listed down the side of the page w/ little tick boxes).
I am planning to do a video where I show you more in detail how I structured the schedule for my kids but the truth is I didn’t create this template. I’m part of the Ambleside Online Facebook group (you can join too) and within that group an amazing mama made these Canva templates for the AO schedule. If you search that group for “schedules” you’re sure to find them. All you have to do is copy it to your free Canva account and then you can change the template to your liking and so that it suits your own homeschool needs. I wish I could share it, but since it’s not my design, I don’t feel like that would be the right thing to do. I CAN share with you how to get it though! Hope this was helpful in some small measure at least.

Hmmmm, I’m not sure. You could check to see if the person who created them happened to also put them on AO Forum?? I haven’t checked there but there’s a wealth of information and resources there too. You can access the Forum directly from the AO Website.
Do you mean the booklist or the suggested schedule per week? Here’s the Year 1 - 36 week schedule, in case that’s what you’re looking for: www.amblesideonline.org/ao-y1-sch Click on PDF toward the top and you’ll be able to download the scheduled chart for the whole year. But if you need a different year, just Google “ambleside online Year ___ booklist (or schedule)” and you should quickly find what you’re looking for. Hope this helps!
@@thisisme_cristi I was trying to find the TG at the beginning of the video you show. It's the book that has all the AO guides complied into a teacher guide of sorts . It's at the 1:32 mark.🤣
@@breynolds7196 oh!! Those are compiled from some photos I borrowed from some AO moms that showed how they had organized the AO schedule charts and booklists. They downloaded each years info, complied them into a pdf and sent them to print on their own. I don’t believe AO has a book like that out as they’re constantly tweaking and changing things. You can do that though on your own account and send the book to be printed at Lulu.com or Barnes & Noble press or another similar website that allows you to print one book.
I do not have an eco style tank printer which is commonly the popular choice amongst homeschoolers. I have a simple HP laser printer. It is wireless though which comes in handy when I have to print something from my phone. amzn.to/3A33ubj
