After Austin and Rock left and before Cena and Batista became the top guys, we had Eddie Guerrero and Benoit who were on fire in 2004.

2004 was Benoit's year and him winning the title at WrestleMania was the best moment of the year.

This was the year I really got into wrestling. Was in 2nd/3rd grade back then. Even though I didn’t really get to experience the Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression had AMAZING matches while still having some interesting storylines. Thanks for taking me down memory lane!

This was the year where Raw became watchable again; rotating Benoit and Edge in made a hell of a difference.

The Greatest Year in Ruthless Aggression Era History: March 31, 2003 - March 14, 2004. 2004 as a whole had thee best storylines and segments. Chris Benoit winning the Royal Rumble Match and WrestleMania XX plus 2 World Tag Team Championship Reigns with Edge. Randy Orton remains the Youngest World Heavyweight Champion Ever by way of winning at Summerslam. A lot of debuts and returns occured in 2004.

This and 2005 were amazing years in wwe

the 4 Raws following Survivor Series when Maven, Benoît, Orton, and Y2J in turn got to run Raw were 4 of my favorite episodes of Raw ever

Super underrated year. I don't care what anyone says or what their opinions of. The year had memorable like Eddie Guerrero became the WWE Champion when he defeated Brock Lesnar and Chris Benoit captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XX when Madison Square Garden was erupted and him and Eddie hugged as champions, Randy Orton becoming the youngest world champion at age 24, JBL being the longest-reigning WWE Champion on SmackDown, Evolution turns on Randy Orton after Orton won the WHC at SummerSlam, 2 5-star bouts, etc.

Eddie winning the wwe title was the best moment of 2004.

2004 was a game changer man I was in 4th grade in 04 and I recently saw summer slam in person last year front row seats baby ! Vegas don’t play and the 04 survivors series was my first ever purchase ppv🙏🏽

My favorite moments of WWE in 2004, John Cena rise Randy Orton match with Mick Foley at Backlash. Orton himself became the youngest WWE world Heavyweight Champion in WWE history. Shawn Michaels/Triple H rivalry Edge turning heel The debut of Taboo Tuesday Survivor Series 2004 match between Team Orton vs Team Triple H. Eddie Guerrero feud with JBL Cena vs Booker T best of seven series Eddie Guerrero became WWE Champion. Shelton Benjamin Intercontinental Championship run And WrestleMania 20 main event where Benoit becomes World Heavyweight Champion.

Randy Orton’s world title reigns was not meant to happen this early due to his immaturity, Orton only got the belt because Brock Lesnar bailed out of WWE, and it pissed Vince off and decided to make Orton youngest world champion. Orton’s first world title run would have had happened sometime in 06

That was a very good year for lots of people (especially eddie and triple h in my opinion) and I can't wait to hear everything that happened in 2005.

In my personal opinion, 2004 was the year of SmackDown because it felt like it was the better show where everyone was getting an opportunity while on Monday night everything was just revolving around Triple H and evolution.

I remember 2004 i was just reaching my peak as a child in terms of happiness, but late January i got bone cancer unexpected, it took me 2 years to recover it, now i am healed atleast 93% fully recovered. And you can't be fully recovered at 100 %, if you rehab non-stop.

I was able to goto back to back Raws right after the 2004 Royal Rumble! The first one was in Hershey. That was the first time I saw a post Raw celebration. Seeing Foley, Stone Cold, and Goldberg drinking in the ring was awesome. The 2nd Raw was in State College.

This year was a whole "season" I have followed with my family. And I mean every ppv was a family party. It was def a GOAT year contender.

2004 was the year that got me back into wwe.

Unfortunately, this series of videos have become mostly about ppv match results rather than storyline summaries. So much context is glossed over to the point that it's almost impossible to recall the show's overall quality that year. I say either increase the video's length or don't worry about mentioning less important matches and focus on the main feuds.

This video reminded me of how great my favourite wrestler of all time is...Eddie Guerrero was taken to soon I say😢...2004 was a great here though... great video man 👌🏻

Thank you for doing these. I was particularly looking forward to 2004 since this was the year I stopped watching wrestling. I recall, at the time, thinking it was losing steam right after WM20… and I think this video backs that up. Felt like “the party was over”. How anybody can argue losing the two biggest stars of all time somehow improves your product is beyond me.

It's going to be interesting to see how he covers the events of 2007, we're not far now.

Thank you man and please continue this series of describing WWE on yearly basis because this is a very rare and unique video series on RU-vid. I wish you do something like this on WCW from 1995 to 2001. And TNA from 2005 to 2012. For both series chose this similar video format that is one video on one year of that show. TNA was actually good in that era.

2004 was the year I fell off wrestling, and even watching this video it's reminding me of just how much the product and the talent had changed and how much I didn't like it.

Man I miss how RAW and Smackdown had seperate PPVs it was a great idea 🔥🔥🔥🔥 man I hope one day WWE could bring it back just like they did back in 2016,17 and early 2018 I hope they bring it back one day 🙏😭

Even though what Chris Benoit did was inexcusable, it’s crazy how many people dismissed the accomplishments, and how good of a wrestler he was in his active career.

I miss the invisible man who won the royal rumble. I think about him every time I use a bowflex machine

I feel like it’s weird that the undertaker didn’t win more world championships than he did, but he wasn’t one to hold the business hostage like triple H. He definitely could’ve beaten Ric’s record of total WWE world championships won but good on him for not doing so, he definitely would’ve gotten the support of fans.
