Your work is always so beautiful and exquisite! If you don’t mind my asking, how long did it take you before you could get your feathers, ribbon candy and wishbones, etc to look somewhat even? I seem to do ok for a while, then everything goes haywire. I did manage to incorporate freehand feathers and wishbones in my most recent quilt (just finished two days ago) for the first time. I’m quite happy with the overall results, but I’d still like to improve my technique.
Thank you! I never even tried a feathe until I had been quilting for about 2 years. I thought I'd never quilt them on a quilt! 🤪🤣 the first time I quilted them I drew every single part of the feather on the quilt and by time I was done with that quilt I was obsessed with feathers! That was about 13ish years ago. 😳
