The type of music that you have to listen over and over to catch all the layers and details. Good music never gon die, it's our duty as art enthusiasts to dig and search for it!!
Hi Yebba, you are definitely underrated, but because you are not a commercial celebrity, you and your voice are very special. Your voice touches the soul ❤love it
I was sleeping when I first heard this song. I heard my neighbor playing it, so I Shazammed it, and been playing it on repeat every since. I love it, obsessed I think!
Sad how Yebba goes unnoticed in the music industry and so many others without any talent go viral out of nowhere, this singer is without a doubt a diamond that very few perceive and she deserves all the recognition. Her creativity, voice, musical style, quality music is everything we need right now!
Discovered Yebba recently only to be Obsessed ! The songs have such maturity in the lyrics, and the melodies are always stunningly beautiful, mystic and interesting. Listening to the last album always feels like a train ride moving consistently trough different landscapes, each one unique in its own way. Thank you Yebba, for painting landscapes in my head with your lyrics, for colouring my days with your melodies, and for giving more meaning and feeling to my life with every single one incredible artwork. Forever grateful
♥️YEBBA♥️ (Asking because I honestly don't know, didn't she have anything Grammy worthy this year? She certainly deserves that level of recognition and more.)
I love Yebba and I can't dislike a song when she is singing it. However, her music in the past few years is just not connecting with me. I am still desperately waiting for a song that touches me like Evergreen.
[Verse 1] Deep in my mind Even my inner critic Is still a mystic You're unrefined Raw and uncut like the prisms Bending time to time [Pre-Chorus] Mirrors break, they multiply Fuck what they say These feelings don't subside Obsessions fade Over time But what remains, love is whatever we make it tonight [Chorus] Did they mention the pride before the fall? ('Cause I would risk it all for you) What they say 'bout the writings on the wall? (No clue, baby, I adore you) [Post-Chorus] Baby, I adore (I adore) I adore you Baby I adore (I adore) [Verse 2] Find a couple threads They run from my head through this mattress As it spins on its axis You're heavy as lead Pressing that cross on your necklace Against my chest [Pre-Chorus] Mirrors break, just to multiply Obsessions fade Over time What can I say? These feelings don't subside And what remains, love is whatever we make it tonight [Chorus] Did they mention the pride before the fall? ('Cause I would risk it all for you) What they say 'bout the writings on the wall? (No clue, baby, I adore you) [Post-Chorus] Baby, I adore (I adore) I adore you Baby I adore (I adore)
The soft warmth of her vocal here is just divine. She knows exactly what to do to create the right ambiance on every track. She’s so thoughtful and intentional. Her voice is an amazing instrument.
yall gotta stop saying shes unnoticed... shes a gem and is loved by those of us who know her music. Most real srtists, just wanna provide for themselves with their art.
Listening to a voice like this keeps my soul wanting to feel. I hear music like this and it restores my battery. So melodic. Sultry. Soft yet a slight rasp on it. The softness of it just gets me. A beautiful song. A voice ageless as time.
🎶'Cause I would risk it all for you 🎶... gosh this song has a certian 'je ne sais quoi' about it... obsessed ain't even the word! Yebba, whenever you're ready I can't wait for you to go on tour!
Very obsessed with this vibe and song; literally writing my novel to this. My leading characters are speaking to vividly. Thank you, Yebba and keep making beautiful music!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yebba is a once-in-a-generation artist. There are just some artists who are on an entirely different level from the rest of the world. Yebba is a magical unicorn.
For so long, we've been listening to her beautiful voice, and she's like a hidden gem for all of us. The world should know her, she's better than Adele
Music has always been healing for me I just hit a year of no contact with my mother and I’m learning and deciding what life looks like now while grieving as well and learning , unlearning and just finding my footing in the world and how to do it on my own (also with God) this song takes me to a different place even if it’s just for a little while. Thank you Yebba🩵
I adore YOU, Yebba. Your capable and Existential lyrical abilities, choice in melodies AND that angelic voice...?? The Truth. Been a fan, since the release of "Evergreen"; and, my appreciation of your work is growing, exponentially. Continue to DO WELL, sista. You are The ISH :0).
Your voice is like a million angels singing to the most high. Your melodies are addictive like crystal meth. I can't articulate it any other way beautiful one💜🙂
I transcribed it for y'all: Intro: Fm7, GbM7 (repeat) Section A: Fm7, GbM7 (repeat), (key change) G#m7, AM7 (repeat) EM7, F7#9 Then there is this short transition line that's really pretty on "bending time to time": (notes, not chords) Yebba: C, Db, Ab, C, Db Keys: Gb, F Bass: Eb ^Basically an Em11, but with nicely arranged voices That transitions back into one more Section A. Then Section B repeats a lot. Section B: GbM7, Ebm7, (passing Fm7), (temporarily out of key) Gm7, F7 (repeat) Then the whole thing repeats. The solo section near the end is left as an exercise for the reader. Enjoy.
more complex, nuanced, challenging and uncompromising, so less main stream than Adele. Both great, but very different. She’s a talent in the style of Jacob Collier. A very serious and talented artist.
