Bristlebud Farmer is insane for one OTHER reason that never came up. It causes a card - potentially a creature - to leave your graveyard. This could trigger an Insidious Roots that came down early. By the way, the Farmer’s a Plant, so it also gets +1/+1 counters off of Roots triggers.
I always contemplating cashing out. The care WOTC put into not culturally appropriating South America culture in caverns of Ixalan was commendable. Having Latino, Latinx, chicano artists, personalities apart of the creative process really helped WOTC not catch a ton of flak. However the Indigenous American Indians and historical context gets ZERO consideration. Marginalize Native American culture as usual. People think it’s cause the “ Cowboys and Indians “ theme. However in original Ixalan we had absolutely clear Imperialism, colonialism, Genocidal Spanish conquistadors. Typical disregard to Native American culture and American history
