शायरी कितनी भी ग़ज़ब की क्यू ना हो। जब तक जगजीत जैसे फनकार उसे उसी ताकत से पेश ना करें, तब तक वह ज़िंदा नहीं होती।

जगजीत सिंह जी की सबसे बड़ी विशेषता यह थी कि वो शब्दों में एकदम से डूब जाते थे और शायरी से एकाकार हो जाते थे।

On Tabla is my Guru and Beloved Father, Pandit Ramesh Kumar Bharati. This recording is from the album, Live in Royal Albert Hall - 1982. If you hear the full album, Jagjit Singh has introduced all the musicians in the beginning after the first song "Honthon Se Chulo Tum" and has recognized my father as "Mr. Ramesh Kumar on Tabla."
