My own video rip of this rare extended video version, only included on the 1988 "The Video Race" VHS compilation. If you like the music, please support the artists!
Boris and Dieter would probably have been very surprised to learn that in 1985 or 1986 in the USSR , 400 km east of Moscow, in a summer labor camp on a state farm, their album "Stella" thundered from concert speakers day and night. We were 15-16 years old then . Reel-to-reel tape recorder + UEMI50 amplifier + 60 AS concert speaker
@@nygelmiller5293 There were different leisure activities in schools of the USSR during the holidays, someone went to pioneer camps (this is an analogue of your scout camps). And high school students of grades 8-10 were sent from large cities to rural areas to help collective farms and state farms "sponsored" by the city district. To go or not to go, the choice was voluntary , you could refuse without any consequences .There was essentially the same scout camp in the field , only instead of tents, toilets were equipped , summer bedrooms for boys and girls , there was a dining room , water and electricity were supplied .In the morning, villagers followed us from the state farm in trucks and we went to work to help them, for example, I went for 3 years in a row and the head of the state farm knew me , therefore I was sent to install a lumpy mass of grass for cows , the installation was called "Vitamin Herbal Flour Machine", There was a diesel oven in it, where crushed grass was fed from the hopper and flying through the heated pipe , the grass dried , at the exit it was mixed with vitamins with a dispenser and filled and packed in plastic bags for use by cows in winter , well, at 16-00 we came to the camp , washed there. We went swimming on the river , bought wine in the village store for the evening and at 21-00 to 0-00 we had a disco . In general, this is a freestyle for young people aged 14-17 and for teachers who traveled with us as seniors .In general, this was the merger of the city with the village))) All sorts of things happened there - used to fight with the villagers , they used to anneal with the village girls , they used to drive the on motorcycles at night . There, for example, my village friend, a drinking buddy, taught me how to ride a tractor and a truck . And all this rock and roll is usually accompanied by music-music.
@@nygelmiller5293 It is difficult for you Westerners to understand us Russians , but we were taught life very harshly in childhood during the Soviet era. For example, in grades 9-10 , we taught basic military training . We were taught to survive a nuclear strike using real army gas masks, protective suits and army first aid kits against nuclear and chemical weapons. Each of us took a test 2 times a week on the side-disassembly of the Kalashnikov assault rifle + went to the school shooting range and we mastered shooting with 22-caliber rifles. In the last 10th grade, the boys took us to the nearest military unit for 3 days and there we learned to dig trenches, shoot from Kalashnikov assault rifles. Well, then after school, after 18 years, each of us joined the USSR army for 2 years or the USSR navy for 3 years
@vovanpop thanks for explaining about the camps. Hope it wasn't bad! Everyone is, however different - even if you talk about schools. Some like it, some don't. Even with jobs. I worked in an office where we had to film film scripts, onto a film - so that would take less space to store. Most of us worked together in the same room, so we could talk to each other. But sometimes, we had to work in another building, where there was no- one to talk to. But one colleague actually LIKED that, and asked to work there ALL THE TIME! Greetings from London
I always come back to this song whenever I feel nostalgic. I first heard this song in 2017 randomly. I'm really glad that I stumbled upon it. Thank you so much for uploading an extended version of this song 😊🙏
Great , great, great! I have the Vinyl at Home! After a Hard Day! Put on your Thorens, sit down, close your Eyes! ......Yello....Desire....bring you down
100% The sun blowing the moon away Lights me up for one more day The streets are naked in the morning sun The night just behind me I run and run Morning heat puts a thin film of sweat on my face A little man, his eyes half closed, puts chairs on tables Admires his work and collects a quarter from the floor I head over to Broadway Where I watch myself having a slow breakfast Trying to impress the barman with a fresh voice When I ask for the bill The sun blowing the moon away Lights me up for one more day The streets are naked in the morning sun The night just behind me I run and run Desire Desire (for the unknown eyes) Desire (for the unknown name) I'm burning (in the morning sun, I want to run) Desire (for the unknown name) Desire (for the unknown love) I'm burning
It looks much more brighter on my original file..I don´t know why it became so darker when I uploaded it here... I agree with you...but I don´t know how to solve it.
Just before the 80s took a nose dive.... this sparkling jewel! I came into that bar in Kantstraße, West Berlin, and this song was playing.... my life has never been the same.
