I feel like it took away from the soul of the first original. It was transformative but in a way that covers up the original instead of highlighting it. Like the drummer just adds a little rhythm to the bit. The guitarist singing just kinda overtakes the entire thing, and everyone else builds upon her singing instead of the original video.
You can only barely hear it if you don't know where to listen. Devote your full attention to the music and you will hear all of the individual instruments.
@@lazycraz6740 well, like with most things, it is an acquired skill that comes with a large amount of time listening to and analyzing music. God knows I was absolutely horrible at even understanding lyrics, I couldn't tell you if even a keyboard was playing in the song. Nowadays, I can pretty easily point out the main instruments, along with many of the background ones. It just takes time.
@@krakenzilla. omg yes! when I was a kid, my brother taught me how to listen every instrument in a song, and now I "see" music with another eyes. the bass is very fun to find, because sometimes its so well mixed with the melody that you can hardly tell, but its there.
@@krakenzilla. Makes sense, i have ADD so for me and many others it’s kinda have to focus on different things at the same time because I get overwhelmed so I often listen to the one that brings it together. Hence why I really enjoy the Bass 👍🏽🙂
While bassists are usually hard to hear in the grand scheme of a song, they really bring a lot to the table. I just think it’s incredible how they can improve something so much while being discreet at the same time.
I play bass and n piano and bass is so easy let me tell you lol. When in doubt just play the root and 5. Or just the notes in the cord. You don't even have to play fast.
My cello teacher once said, having the bass-role is like being the butler on a fancy party. All the other instruments are the "gentlefolk" but only because of you, they can shine.
I just gotta say that this wouldn’t have worked if the original didn’t drop his bars on beat with no tempo in his ear. He’s got the talent of a metronome in his head.
@@eiosti It was pretty on tempo, you can tell by how the original guy measures the timing of his syllables, the overtop beats don't change the tempo but do help fix inaccuracies
Exactly. Like, sometimes when i’m like makin’ music, I perceive it as like way faster than it is for some reason. Feels like time is speeding up or something, cause I can’t wrap my head around how it works. Then I turn on metronome, and now it’s all set back to normal
I love the passion and the seriousness of the people that sing so well and do the harmonies saying so calmly "when ma get home imma tell her to come beat yo ass" thats pure magic out there
@@anthonypuente9072 a lot of times, people don’t see every person that stitched, and they duet just the version that they saw. It’s sad but it’s not their fault really
The girl with the guitar and the drummer are the heart the girls voice is so clean and beautiful and the drummer is so underrated he literally forms the yellow croc avengers musical here
The lady with the harp is so underrated! From what I’ve heard the harp is one of the most difficult instruments ever to learn and playing it perfectly in time WHILE singing is just absolutely mind-blowing!
@꧁sage_s1rawßerry꧂ Oh, i didnt mean it wasn’t a difficult instrument. It absolutely is. It takes crazy breath control and mouth positions. I was just making a silly joke 👌
@BlueScreen i’ve been playing piano for 10+ years and wind instruments scare me. You mainly need hand technique for piano. But flute? Technique, breath control, mouth positions, and probably other stuff i‘m not aware of bc i’m not a flute person

I wish Tik Tok was ONLY content like this. Actual talent. People that want to be a part of it start learning instruments. Everyone jams together. World peace is achieved.
tiktok is the same as every other social media platform: you can post whatever you want. it’s meant to be fun. the great thing abt this is you can train your algorithm to only show talent content if you want, but saying other forms of content shouldn’t exist just bc it’s not ur taste is stupid ash.
i think the charm of this content is that it's hilariously unexpected, it happens out of nowhere and there's no plan or structure. it just builds up to something incredible. as much as i wanna drink bleach while watching the average tiktok shit my sister sends me, i think if this fun random content became something people orchestrated or planned out, it would lose its charm
People kinda talking smack on keyboard guy, I think he did a great job of keeping his harmony well placed in the background, it's quiet and reserved and doesn't detract from the guitar girl's amazing melody line
the problem with his part was trying to harmonize with the girl instead of the guy, his voice is similar to him so it blends perfectly, but he sings on the same tone as the girl, so he stands out by making a weird mesh
@@LARA-zj4hu That's an issue started by the girl on guitar; if she had sung quieter it would've been easier for others to join and not overpower the original. However since she was so loud she became the new 'main' voice.
i know everyone's applauding the guitar girl because she is great, but also something about the op's beat and voice just. makes me happy. idk how to explain it. he's literally just a guy doing his little toey touch
I agree she sounded amazing but it was kind of loud and you could barely hear the original guy with her..I feel like she should have lowered the sound so you could hear him a bit more 😅
Let’s all thank the drum dude. He’s not getting enough credit Edit: I was trying not to edit because then I lose the heart from the creator but y’all are killing me with the comments. At the time I wrote the comment the drum guy was getting no credit so can we please stop saying he’s getting too much credit. I’m completely aware that now that’s what most of the comments are about but when I wrote it literally no one was talking about him 😭
the drum dude needs the attention he deserves. he made the song have more definition, the beats made the song a whole lot better, it made the song actually sound epic dayum das alotta likes
As a bassist, I def agree. Both players are AMAZING dont get me wrong. But the first one fits the style better. Simpler basslines(as long as its not too simple) can be so powerful in a piece or a song. Bass is meant to be a backbone to the music
@@ameersbeih6777 Def agree, although I love when the bass gets the melody too sometimes (if it’s done right.) Bass is so great for being capable of both, I couldn’t listen to a song without it.
Hey! I’m the first singer with the guitar and I would love to clear some things up: 1. Mixing good sound balance on tik tok is hard af, especially when over 10 people add on to an original sound 2. The last thing I was trying to do was overshadowing the original guy and his voice (he even reached out and said he loved the duet so that’s all that matters really) 3. Did I think the video I took 2 minutes to make would turn into a huge duet chain?? Definitely not
The whole thing was beautiful and fun! Every chain turns into something like this, where people criticize this one or the other one, but I think it's all great 💙
@@themanwhosoldtheworld2125 yea honestly, like shes talented and all, but she completely changed the direction the song was obviously intended to go, i hate that every version had her included lol i actually wanted to hear the original dude
I think the third guitar girl completely ruined the video. I think she is a phenomenal singer but it just doesnt match the vibe of the original video. She completely undermines the first video with her singing unlike the drummer who just subtly added to it. Everyone else after her is only building up on her melody instead of the original video.
I love when everyone adds their own part to it I love that it kinda just speaks about people’s personality a lil when they add their own spice/touch to the song
The only thing I don't like about TikTok duets is that everyone decides to just harmonise everything and it usually ends up being way too much. Serve the song, not your ego.
Yes! So frustrating to hear guitar girl turn it into one of those generic, soft-spoken r&b tracks you see all over tik tok. If she'd have just laid a guitar track down the whole thing would have been the better for it.
I’m superrrr late but like, the first bass dude was A-MA-ZING! LEGIT GIVE THEM SOME ATTENTIONNN! It was so good and the vibes he was giving off was sick and also the harp girl! The harp is a really hard instrument to play (I would know since I play it lol) and just both of them, perfection😼 1:44
I honestly used to *dislike TikTok Intensely* but I gave it a chance and it really isn’t that bad. After a while it filters the stuff you don’t like and leaves you with the content you like 👍
You should try it!! Once you first get the app it shows you generic things that are getting lots of views, but within a week your for you page will be filled w things that interes tyou!! Same with all apps, like when you first get RU-vid, videos catered for you don't appear straight away, you have to interact with videos you want to see more of and then boom!!
I love the drum guy his control especially withthe hi hat and snare goes really well with the song and is very impressive he forsnt get enough love and after playing drums myself im glad he was in everysingle one of these bar the original
Yall don’t seem to like the harp girl singing and from the comments I thought I was gonna hate it too.... Until I heard. Wow. So angelic and buttery with the harp... 👌
bro i was so happy to see the woodwind and brass instruments because in school i chose band and seeing other instruments that i know almost everything about makes me happy. Also because the majority of the time after graduating school, people stop playing the instrument they picked and leave it in the dust because they don’t have any instructions or any responsibilities with the instrument. And seeing teens/adults play this just makes me really happy that they didn’t stop playing their instrument they picked from school. 🤩 ✨
I fucking love this side of tiktok, it's what I call "The talented" side which is singers, musicians, editors, or anything that's how's people with the best skills. Edit: Holy sh#t thanks for the likes, this is my most liked comment ever Edit Edit: Yoooo, homeboy got the D R I P Edit of Edit Edit: GUYS HELP, I HAD A DAYS WORTH OF TACO BELL, IM STUCK ON THE TOLIET SINCE 5AM AND IM SUFFERING TO MUCH, HELP IM BEGGING YOU
Drum guy: doesn’t get enough credit. He started it all Guitar girl: amazing!!!! Piano dude: really wasn’t needed Trumpet dude: really good! Base guy: good! Like the vibes 😎 Other base guy: it looks super challenging! Harp girl: her voice is amazing Tenor sax: awesomeeeeeeeee As a person who plays both piano and sax! For the people who think I’m being rude towards the piano guy, I just want to say I’m sorry but honestly the song would’ve also worked without him, I’m not saying he was bad. I think his voice added a nice harmony but the piano wasn’t needed
No, the piano guy was actually good, i think it’s a bit rude. You have to listen carefully, concentrate and you will hear something And his voice did something really good at the end
I liked his voice when the others got quieter, but tbh I don't think the piano itself was necessary. Personally my favorite was the trumpet duet (by that I mean that and the others before)
This is and absolutely beautiful price of art. I shed a tear listening to this for the first time. The drummer, girl with guitar, and the lead singer with them yellow crocs…. OMG IM CRYING😂😂😂😂
Lyrics: Man what we got Over here we got my little sister Up inside the bed she watching tv she supposed to Be in class instead Why you being bad When ma get home imma tell her to come beat yo A*s you under da blanket like it won’t give you a rash look at the dirty room and I’m gonna have to pass OUT! Gonna rug yellow crocks on while I do my toey touch my toey touch!
