Idk why everyone is so pissed about it. Like, do you really think that it's wrong just because a random kid is mad his glowy stick (idk if the way I referred to the lightsabers is gonna offend anyone but sorry in advance) isn't yellow? It's not even the dude's fault because when you stop to think about it, the yellow and white crystals should absolutely be there. This is how he did it: He bought a yellow crystal from the shop. He chose another colour at Savi's. When no one was looking, he slipped his yellow crystal in. It made a yellow lightsaber.

Why on earth wouldn't they let you use Yellow? It's 100% canon. Purple is even rarer, only a single canon character uses it yet half the people in the room have it. Hell you can even use Red, how is THAT not 'immersion' breaking.

I think it would make way more sense if the colors they offer were blue, green, purple, and yellow because it's supposed to be a Jedi thing or at least I thought it was. Then you could but a red crystal.

I honestly think that this really isn't something worth debating about Man wanted to add his own spice to the fun and so he did, I don't see why everyone gets their shit in a twist. Negatives and positives to this. It can lead to the workers being hassled without necessity, it can also lead to either everyone attending being checked before entering which then just makes you a little sh!t, or it could lead to them offering more color options in the future, which would make it awesome that you did this. However making unnecessary problems for people trying to do their jobs is an asshole thing to do. I am undecided but am happy you had a good time.

It makes more sense lore-wise for there to be a yellow crystal at Savi's than red since red crystals only come from making a crystal bleed

They check crystals now. So I got a purple, changed the RFID code to white before I went in. It's super easy to do. So I acted surprised when I turned mine on and it was white. I showed them the crystal was purple and they probably thought it was defective or switched to the wrong ID. I said I liked it and would keep it. Was worth the smirk on my face the whole time.

That is the same woman who was with me at Savi’s.

This is actually against the rules and the employees will look at your crystals, they’ve cracked down on people doing this and are told to look out for this kind of stuff

I don't think people realize, but you can buy the christals separate online.

To be clear, they tell you not to use white or yellow because they aren't options and then inevitably a kid will throw a tantrum cause they didn't get to choose yellow but that one guy used yellow and then said kid ruins the experience for everyone with their screaming.

I hate how many purples there are there. Meant to be rare. Options should be Blue and green, maybe red and yellow, but purple should definitely be extra.

So I'm going in two weeks and yellow has always been my favorite lightsaber since I was a child. Way before the new starwars trilogy ever came out. If I bought the yellow Kiber crystal and asked to use it in the build process, would I get in trouble?

Guys no I found it out he did not have a yellow crystal he hacked the green one to be yellow with a device that when you put in the code witch is really easy to do in like a minute that’s why he built it so fast so no yellow crystal just a hack

So let me get this straight mad man here got a crystal from the sabers changed it’s code snuck it into the park didn’t use the green crystal and put his crystal in and no staff questioned it. ABSOLUTE MAD MAN!!

fyi using a yellow or white kyber crystal is kinda a jerk move although I a not sure if it is actually not allowed to be used in the workshop its is frowned apon by many due too the fact that if a kid who's parents had just spent 200$ on a lightsaber sees that someone else got a yellow blade they will most likely be extremely jealous and want their parents to spend even more money on a kyber crystal while I personally don't approve of this I wont push my opinions and just say "Do it at your own expense"

This looks like such an amazing experience, I would absolutely love to do something like this. But by the time I have enough money I doubt they will still be doing this event.

I mean honestly since Disney is responsible for making yellow and white Canon then they should include them. That being said, it's still an @#$hole move to do something you know you aren't supposed to do because it ruins the experience. Luckily the cast members know how to deal with this nonsense and you're lucky they don't take it more serious (which they probably will add yellow and white before they DO take it serious).

I love Star Wars but this park is just about one era of Star Wars and the 3 movies are I guess a solid 5/10 I guess I would give an extra point for 7 if this was like one park per era I wouldn’t mind because I would go to the prequels and original trilogy but no just one for one type of experience the terrible sequel trilogy .how are these still canon?

I live in the UK and was gonna go to galaxy’s edge in Walt Disney world and build a protection and defence saner with a yellow blade on my holiday. That’s not happening for, well 😷🤒🤧😪
