Would be awesome to clarify the backhoe stabilizer pads and claws. Pads up claws down in dirt and pad down claws up for street. You never see people utilizing the claws and usually tear up landscaping with the pads from sliding

as a training excercise I can see how this will teach a new user to think before using the levers but as something you would do in real,,,,,,no way!

New to (T)LBs, have a question. Do many of them have a dump angle as such to allow the bucket to lay flat and slide, or is this a volvo specific technique?

And then the operator realizing he forgot his lunch on the other side of the trench and in a panic reverses the process and half way over realized all he had to do was walk over the trench on foot just as the new safety director comes around the corner and sees him up in the air.:)

Great topic. Lets new operators know that the machine is capable of lifting itself in such a mannor. I have seen lots of newbies afraid to pick themselves off the ground. But the video is to long. This should only take 10 minutes to explain to someone.

Uh, yes way.... Not only is this something you would do, its something that is done quite often, especially on multi contractor sites where the project manager might not get the word though on doing a utility trench until long after the forms are in place. (It happens all the time.) If you have a better way of doing this, be sure to post a video of you on your machine actually doing it.

So the main point is don't touch the brake or the bucket will come backwards and cave in the trench, but if you're too close just bang it in reverse and drag the bucket towards the trench. WTF.

In Brazil it take so long to pass an obstacle he loses his job not every machine is equal and has better technique for such transposition, but is made safely and do not force both......

Here's a tip forget the backhoe it's practically extinct good machine for a farm but if you want succeed drive a track excavator the most versatile piece of plant f you get good on you have job for life

+bobcat236 , this operator is a fine operator, and yes he can work anywhere . If you will recall this was a teaching exercise, not a race of who is or is not fastest. Or, as in your "word of"custom work" , I see so many cowboys in that area of improper operating... I am sure as Mike Rodgers said below, post it . May God Bless all.
