Merle talking back at the end ready for dinner was hilarious 😂 Man, you are an amazing craftsman! I'm glad to see Hannah was there to help lift that wood so you're not straining yourself.👏💕
You took the words out of my mouth with the poly comments on the counter tops. I worked at Sherwin Williams - Minwax as a Senior Laboratory Technician for twenty-three years. And when you said polyurethane I said no use Polycrylic, it's waterbased last a long time and NEVER turns yellow like oil based polyurethane.
Jeff your a true artist brother I no Hannah is excited looks like y'all just about there can't wait till y'all give us the final walkthrough she should be able to hunt deer right out of the yard it's what we do here in the south
Real fine craftsmanship! You’re not just building Hannah a beautiful home, you’re building great memories of doing this project together. Well done, brother!🇺🇸🤘
A work of art! Showed my wife this video. She's an art teacher. She LOVED this! I don't have any of that talent. I'm not jealous. I just appreciate a talented artist!
I love those counter tops. When I build my house I love the rustic and hunting and fishing themes I’d try to add to my own. Hannah’s house is coming along great.
Yessir, I did enjoy the video!! Jeff, you're just loaded w talent. The cabinets are absolutely gorgeous!! Hannah's whole house is a showcase. I'm in awe. It's all fantastically rustic. I love it. I can't thank you enough for sharing. Thank you and Hannah!!! I'm in NC.👍❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have been a craftsman for over 40 years and managed a full service lumber yard and mill shop for 11 years, and built wood counter tops all the time. The last ones that we did were maple/walnut butcher block counter tops for a large kitchen. We tended to use hardwoods because the grain structure is much tighter and if the finish ever fails, food born pathogens can infiltrate the pores in the wood. Yellow pine is also a sappy wood and could bleed over time!
Nice work young man, quite the craftsman. Dont have the patience, the back or the eyes anymore. Great job on the whole house. Hope youve recovered from your fall. Best to you and Hanna!
Your work is excellent, Hanna should be extremely proud & I know she is. Not many people have the ideas & ability to turn not so good wood into produce you can be proud of. I’m so impressed.
Jeff, you are indeed a master carpenter. It is so wonderful to be able to watch your beautiful creations come to life. Just like the sculptor looking at a rock and seeing the inner beauty, you can see a piece of wood and craft that wood into an artful creation. People like yourself are a gift to the world. Thank you so much for bringing us along.
Jeff, great work, love the look of the cabinets and countertops and the fact it's made from recycled materials and wood you've cut on your sawmill, especially with the crazy price of building materials these days. Cabinets like that would cost a fortune. You could also add some bracing underneath the over hang on the island, both ends and one in the center would be enough for additional support. Maybe some small metal triangle supports.
Jeff, they all turned out REMARKABLE!!!!! You are DEFINENTLY one HELL of a true carpenter!!!!! My hat is off to you buddy!!! And I'm sure that Hannah is happier than a pig roll'n in a mud hole!😊 Can't wait to see it all finished up!!!! Stay SAFE, and GOD BLESS ALL!!!!!!👍😊🙏🙏🙏🙏
Jeff, nice to see your doing much better. I've got stenosis inside the spinal column so its inoperable and eventually fatal. Enjoyed building / const for years but lifting as little as ten lbs a few times can have me in a mess for days if not weeks. Drives me muts not to be working but your vids provide some enjoyment. Wish I was in on the fun. Lifted three dinner plates from my daughters dishwasher a 10:41 nd blam! Its like sticking your finger into a light socket, I hit the floor. As the inside narrows and puts enough pressure on the spinal cord its lights out and a new adventure begins. Hope to dee your family there when the time comes.
Jeff: You have no idea of the enjoyment we get following your work…you are a true artist and your craftsmanship and vision are unequalled…Hannah is so lucky to have a father who is a real renaissance man….can’t wait to follow the adventures of Josey!!!…
Looks great, love that live edge! That trick with scoring the board underneath is a game changer, cool to see. As always, that beetle kill line looks good in just about every application.
Cabinets and Island looks astounding Jeff !!! Y’all done an amazing job on those things and the grain colors with that Spaulding and those worm holes on that backsplash really set those counter tops off 🤩😍😃👍🏼
What a great job, looksssss so awesome, if you lived closer when I build my place. I would pay you what ever you wanted to do the same thing for me. Thank you so much for doing videos.
So beautifully done. Like others have stated . . . those cabinets and countertops are works of art. Sending prayers for your recovery 🙏🏽 and cuddles for that precious hard working Merle. 💓
Jeff, you are an amazing craftsman, I love the natural rustic look, and I love that Merle is watching out for you making sure you leave to get some food.
I'm with you guys Jeff , natural wood like that is beautiful! How someone could paint anything with a wood grain that stands out is beyond my comprehension ! Beautiful just beautiful wood and craftsmanship 😊
Jeff I thinks some pocket screw would be nice to screw the panels together and with the end caps please don't get me wrong you do a beautiful job and on the back splash I think a 5_or 6 in. Slash would be awesome ! Beautiful job can't wait for the finish look thanks for sharing!😳😳👍👌
I love stuff like this but don't know much about it... But would love to learn, and do things like this myself brother! Beautiful work brother just gorgeous! Wish I could learn from ya! Love to see Ole' Merel too! Much love and respect as always to you, Hannah, and Merel! God bless you all brother! Praying for continued healing for you man! Always! 👊💯🤙❤️👑🦁😂😉
All that you’ve done is so beautiful. Been a carpenter my whole life and woodworker. I think I would suggest that you might try putting corbels on the ends of the overhang of the island counter top. Just a thought. Love everything you have done on Hana’s house. Wish I lived closer to you guys , I would love to do some of the finish work with you.
Y’all did an amazing job Jeff. You are an amazing craftsman brother. I love that buggy yellow pine, it’s always been my favorite wood to work with even before it became trendy guess that’s just a LA (lower Alabama) thang.
dude you are a genius man......glad your health and neck is doing ok.....one tough hombre.....I watch from Texas and this house you are building for your girl is going to be a 100 year house man.....incredible work! love you guys!
Those countertops are amazing. I completely agree with you. I love the character in that wood. Man, you could be out here fetching the big money doing stuff like this for people in their homes.
Jeff, the house is beautiful and I’m sure Hannah is very proud to have you as her dad and I’m sure she’s very proud of the house that you built. And I know I would be but then again I’d be your brother cause I’m 62 lol.
Hey on that board that's cupped and twisted (4ft piece minute marker 7:00) you can curf it underneath about halfway and relive that tension and it should lay flat. We do it all the time. Keep up the great work
dang son that's a mighty fine lookin craftmanship !! ...... you are gifted Jeff! . .. .. .. .. I have built several live edge tables(different wood species) and I love the way you break all the sharp edges on those countertops. I am amazed at the beauty of the grain in that wood y'all picked out. mmmm mmmmmm dang that's nice son !!!
Good golly you mad at the 10 inches? 4:57 flippin the bird talkin bout them inches lol I bout fell over 😄 anyway those cabinets are amazing! The live edge & natural look of the counters compliments the cabinet doors well. Easy on the eyes all the way around & love the natural vibe!! Such an awesome dad!!
