Yellow Wind Sage is my favourite boss in BMW, he's a solid roadblock for earlygame and his moveset is awesome. Once you get the rhythm of his attacks, they become a whole lot less intimidating and it feels so exciting to fight him. Beating him first time was so thrilling, and replay fights in New Game are great. His lore is great as well, such an interesting character. Also this theme rocks, especially the motif at 1:03.
Yellow Wind Sage is my favourite boss character so far, he is truly a tragic figure who set out to do good but because he is a yaoguai his efforts are not deemed worthy and ended up living long enough to become the villain...😢
This song tells the tale of Yellow wind sage , he was a justice Yaoguai hero in the past and help the kingdom defeat Fuban to protect people there. But after being taken away by Lingji for attacking Tangsanzangs , his subordinates were killed and his people were turned into Yaoguais. He felt despair and disillusionment when he saw Wukong the greatest Yaoguai persecuted by the heaven court. He fell for the pursuit of power , then became the boss we met. A story of tragic hero turns into a villain.
