First let me express my deepest sympathy for all who have lost and suffered from this incredible flood. I’m truly sorry for all. I live in South Louisiana so I know a a thing or to about flooding and loosing everything. I hope no lives were lost, but I haven’t heard. The only good thing I can say is the water was fresh water and not salt water as we have down here. Stuff can be replaced, homes can be rebuilt but lives cannot be replaced. Give God all praise all the time. It’s times like this that bring out the best in all people. Y’all need help and we will send help. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Be strong and courageous. God Bless.

Climate change is caused by humans burning coal oil and natural gas. These are greenhouse gases that trap heat in the Earth. 7.8 billion humans put out about 36 billion tons CO2 every year by burning coal oil and natural gas. 90% of the heat energy end up being reabsorbed in the world's oceans. That is equivalent of 17 * 10 ^ 20 jewel heat energy jewels heat energy. That is equivalent of 5 thermal nuclear bombs per second BDubs or up in the world's oceans. It seems to be going up year after year.

Sorry I don't believe the term nature. It's driven by climate change and humans are 100% responsible remitting coal oil and natural gas. Carbon dioxide regulates the temperature of Earth to make it habitable. But that stopped in 1860. Humans have been burning coal oil and natural gas and it's producing more carbon dioxide in what is able to be absorbed in the world's oceans and on land. Deforestation also contributes to climate change if it's being pulled down and deforested and that's what's happening today

So sad to see history repeating itself. Blessings to those affected directly and in support roles. You've got a huge cleanup ahead of you. FYI: It's not the river's fault, nor Mother Nature's, nor an Act of God. These problems can be avoided if people think and plan/design for worst case scenarios. Please learn from this and re-build with all your contingencies in place. FYI: The physics of a river's flow is NOT straight, yet road standards arrogantly try to squeeze flow into a straight line. Eventually, with enough water, that lapse in judgement becomes obvious, and the inherent 'S' curve of a meandering river wins. Why roads are often placed near rivers? A lot of the earth movement has already occurred, naturally, thus easier to build at river's edge. In the 1990s while traveling this area, I saw buildings placed too close - with high water taking some out. Thirty years later, it's happening again. It's time for common sense and known engineering standards to over-rule greed and political indifference. Communities must take personal responsibility for their bad decisions. Point at the river all you want, but three fingers are pointing back!

@tubetrox2
@tubetrox2 Год назад
While it is technically feasible to build higher up on slopes, away from potential flooding, it also means more cutting and filling of slopes and more structures. All that makes more of a visual impact, and such impacts have to be considered in natural parks. They try to keep disturbed areas to a minimum. As you note, it is easier to build at river's edge. So I won't be surprised if they do so again.

You speak in confusion. You call down blessings, but yet you say this was not an Act of GOD. There are a HUGE number of seismic anomalies happening in this area. Volcanic activity has also increased. Animals have been sighted as leaving these areas in droves. This may be GOD mercifully telling folks to get out of there before that ticking time bomb explodes. Pray before you do anything, especially before you rebuild. I have a special connection to this land. In 1988, while stationed at Fort Lewis, I was tasked to help fight the wildfires in West Yellowstone. My prayers go out to the people who live there. In my experience, they were kind and good, honest folks. May you be protected and comforted through these times.

@@JulieHollar You saying it has "never happened" is extremely arrogant unless you are an immortal who has secretly been alive and living there for thousands of years and never left the area to know that you didn't miss one. Even then it could have happened at least once before you took form unless you were formed there when the land itself formed. Now, I do agree with your probable intended point which is that this wasn't something that could be planned for with the annual flood cycles. But Steve's point that it could have happened sooner or later when living where they did is also true. When building a house to last, especially if you are planning on it being the home of your children or even grandchildren you need to be very careful - and being anywhere near a river is not careful. My heart goes out to anyone I hear who lost a home to flooding or any other natural disaster. But certain locations are more likely to have disasters, and a river bank - regardless of previous flood heights - is never going to be a truly 100% safe location.

Historically the pattern is a 20+yr mega drought followed by a similar set up to what happened here w atmospheric rivers training in w the warm rain melting snow and turning the central valley back into the inland sea it is up to 30ft deep. Gonna be astronomical expenses when this same scenario hits Northern California again. I suggest if you live in California's Central valley that you get flood insurance...your house will someday sit for a couple months at the bottom of an inland sea.

That's God stating it in that verse and there are more verses. People need to repent, to be cleansed by His blood and live Holy because He's Holy and righteous because He's righteous. Our God said to stop sinning in many many scriptures and He paid for everyone to be cleansed of sin (Isaiah 53), and to live how He said. He dwells in the Holy temple (your body) and said not to defile the temple. He said to defile the temple is death. He's always serious about everything He said to do. He's just as serious about what He said not to do. We live in obedience to His law, every word if it! He dwells within us all to be with and lead us in His ways. 💕🙏 Deuteronomy 28 there are blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. The whole chapter, and verse 46 is one example of generational curses. These go into the following generations, the 3 and 4th. Our children pay the price for our sin. Stop sinning you are sending consequences to yourself and to your loved ones, children. By God's law you are. If you don't believe me ask Him, in Jesus name may you see and know the truth in it's fullness. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. He's worthy of everything He said and paid for, so I implore you to do as God said. Jesus said If you love me you will obey my commands. Love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. 💖🔥🕊️🙏 Praise God 🙏💖 Hallelujah Jesus🙏💖 In Jesus powerful name. 🙏🔥🕊️ 💖

It happened because of the renaming of Yellowstone Mountain. Jk. What’s with the somber music track? Flooding is a normal part of any river. It’s Mother Nature showing us her wrath and we should respect it. A decade ago Canada released water into the US and didn’t tell anyone causing the 2011 Minot Flood. That incident would deserve depressing music.

I am now wondering if this deluge is going to be enough to set off a volcanic eruption, now that the park has been closed to visitors.

Something could be happening under Yellowstone. Flooding like that could be pre-staged signs before an eruption happens years prior.

What actually happened in Yellowstone National Park with the flooding? Something might be happening under the waters.
