I am in Yellowstone National Park to spend 5 days photographing wildlife and the beautiful landscapes. The purpose of this two-week trip to America is to bring awareness to nature and the importance of taking better care of it. I am doing this through four lectures for the local schools and by sharing this series of videos.
I am here with Tim who is also a nature photographer.

✦ ABOUT THIS VIDEO
Yellowstone is the first national park in the world and for me it is a great experience to see how this is done and how nature thrives without the impact from humans.
Five days in such an enormous area is way too little, but since I had other obligations on this trip, I am so happy for these few days. It wasn't time enough to follow some of the species and really spend the time needed to get amazing footage, but it was definitely enough to give me an unforgettable experience.

My name is Morten Hilmer and I am a professional nature and wildlife photographer.
I am a Nikon Ambassador and I work as an ILCP photographer.
Nature conservation is very close to my heart.
I have served in the Danish military special unit, the Sirius Patrol, for two years and that has given me the skills and confidence to operate alone in the arctic regions.

That was a very nice way to spend 24 minutes on my sunday evening 😊 And even some landscape photos! Maybe you should do another collab with Thomas one day 😉Really loved the photo of the bison in a line and the end montage was amazing. Already looking forward to the Scotland video. Great review or video of your time in Yellowstone N.P. 🇺🇸 Morten. Your photography and video 🎥 are very well done and beautiful. Yes, 4 days in Yellowstone is not enough. You have to visit often and at different times of the year. Just stay away from late May until after early September. Those times, the crowds are just too large. You were there at a great time. Winter in Yellowstone is a beautiful time of year. There is so much wildlife to capture, so much to see and appreciate. Thank you for sharing this well photographed and produced video of the world's 1st National Park, Yellowstone. 👌

Great vid once more. Particularly liked the clips at the end. Yellowstone is the place where one’s soul can just relax. Five days is a good start. Hopefully you’ll have a chance to return for a longer stay, Morten. Best time is just about anytime except summer (due to the number of visitors).

Good one Morten, thanks :-) Looks like you got a good selection of what Yellowstone's northern range has to offer. Soon the roads into the interior open again for the summer, giving easier access to even more experiences and sometimes closer encounters with the wildlife. I hope you come back here soon, preferably during the pre- and post- tourist season, but while the roads are open. There is so much to see, incl the thermal features.

Just came home to this from photographing roe deer in my home forrest. Just amazing... Almost two years ago your videos motivated me to start doing wildlife photography, well actually just recently I got gear to do that, switched from canon to sony and now between my workdays at a hospital, I go into nature and take pictures and videos of wildlife, I found it is the best way to clear my mind from the "usual" world and it's problems. So grateful for your videos, you are amazing.

I agree, 4 days in a place like that isn't enough but we take what we can get and plan for the future when we can return. My favorite part of this was the video of the bison coming down a slope and kicking up the deep snow. ❤️😁

I very much enjoyed watching! I so recognize your feelings when shooting landscapes 🙈 Wildlife no problem, but when trying to get a photo of that amazing landscape....I feel so overwhelmed and not sure what to do.
