The 2022 Kia Sportage will be available in Turkey from March with a petrol engine. The diesel version will be available in April. The hybrid variant, popular in recent years, will be available from the second half of the year.
The dimensions of the new Kia Sportage model were announced as wheelbase 2755 mm, width 1865 mm, length 4660 mm and height 1660 mm. The 2021 Sportage offers 1,050mm of legroom and 1,000mm of headroom for second-row passengers, as well as a claimed boot volume of 637 liters. The car also uses a premium Harman Kardon audio system.
The engine option that runs in the car is the 1.6-litre TGDI unit. This version of the engine produces 180 horsepower. This engine option is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (7DCT), while a 6-speed manual is available at all times. The new Kia Sportage will also use hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. Of course, the presence of a diesel automatic variant is also very good news for the Turkish market. We'll find out very soon if there will be a 4x4 variant with a 136 hp diesel option.
