The dead apostles from this part of the series are explored more in tsukihime. You can become immortal through a variety of means but human bodies are not equipped to deal with never aging so they must replace their decaying cells with blood and meat of living beings and it's an instinctual thing. So what Shirley did worked but just didn't turn out how she thought

@@OmarioRpg I don't know if this is your kind of game but I recently played and absolutely loved Disco Elysium. It's like a detective RPG centered more about dialogue and investigation than action. The world building is really good and it has probably the best humour of any game I've played. Something that might be a bit of a turnoff for some people is that it's super text dense (I think it had more text than The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books combined or something like that). Personally I thought it was a masterpiece
