Gabi I agree totally. Since I was 16yr old (I'm now 53). EVERY time I get a signature scent they discontinue it. It drives me so bloody crazy trying to find a replacement for lost loves. I own quite a few discontinued loves that I sniff from bottle but too scared to use up. Designers stuck. I understand that ingredients are expensive or hard to come by but these companies make so much money surely they can keep old favourites.
@@cherylbaker4290 I don’t think I ever tried Aura tbh. I definitely never had a bottle but I just can’t remember the smell at all that’s why I can’t say I tried it. I was more into Angel/Alien at that time. My favourite ever from Mugler is Alien Essence Absolue, it’s the best flanker, actually better than original, smells so niche. I’ve a full 30 ml bottle and I’m dreading using it, managed to get it before they started going crazy on the overprices. Angel Muse is so cozy and comforting.
TF Noir Pour Femme is pretty much identical to their men's Noir Extreme, which is I think why they discontinued it. So, not to worry, the scent is still there, just in the men's section!

Hi Gabby! This was an amazing video and very informative. I totally understand your reaction since a lot of my favorites from Dior are being or have been discontinued. It's like why bother getting all worked up for a new release if in 6 months they'll discontinue it? And you are right. Buying a back up bottle (like I used to) can backfire because maybe you won't like the scent anymore. Love you and thank you!😊
I love your mint coloured eyeshadow! I used to pine because Midnight Poison was discontinued, it was my signature back in the day. But I got the chance to smell it again recently, and you know what, I wouldn't wear it now, it's not me nowadays 🤷♀️
I totally agree, and it’s not just with the perfumes. The discontinuations of best sellers have been with make up, skin care, hair products, even wigs! It seems to be something that’s particular especially with the beauty industry. It’s different when you know something is a “limited edition” but an old staple that’s been you’ve signature for years. Just *POOF* gone!… Sometimes, and I do mean, *sometimes* the good thing is, you can get them in the discount stores like T.J. Maxx, or Marshalls, but after that you’re out of luck. Great video!
My fave discontinued scents: Armani Si Fiori, Armani Code Satin & Cashmere, Kenzo flower l’elixir, Poison Girl EDP (if discontinued? It’s hard to find ...) Agree also with you regarding Paco Rabanne Olympea Aqua Legere and my current love Burberry Her Intense (will be gutted when I finish my backup bottle!)

Glad to have a backup bottle of few of these 😇 Brands have a tendency to remove some of the best ones. Such a "smart move" 😈 Gucci Guilty Absolute was one of the best in the Guilty line.

Gourmand Coquin is still in production, just in VERY small batches. Apparently you can get it off one site. Both Anne and Sharida talked about it this past summer, I believe. I'm really glad I got a bottle of Kenzo World Power before the price got jacked up. I hate the bottle though. 😩
They will discontinue Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming as well, from the prive line Oud Ispahan and Patchouli Imperial had been already discontinued in US but still available here in UK and Europe so far. Lancome also discontinued La tresor nuit Caresse ( the best from the line and even better than original LNT ), Tresor Midnight Rose is hard to find , always out of stock. They discontinued almost the entire Maison Lancome line only Oud Bouquet and a couple of more available… it’s so sad because they were so good. That Valentino Valentina line was beautiful especially Myrrh Assoluto and Rosa Assoluto ( glad I’ve a bottle of each) . TF discontinued White Patchouli but still available to purchase so far, and from prive line Bitter Peach is discontinued . But no surprise here TF is taking a hand with those fragrances, release one and next year puff is gone. I’ll be purchasing Gucci Guilty Intense while is still available, such a shame, smells high quality.
It is so annoying wen brand discontinued your favorite perfume- in my case was : MK- Midnight Shimmer , Lancôme A la folie and now JPG Scandal A Paris WTF😢Thanks to you I bought biggest bottle of LL Lolitaland and I love it. Thanks Gabby ❤
I really don’t understand why do designer houses produce great scents and release them to the market and then discontinue them so we get frustrated and start looking for alternatives and get heartbroken for not getting the same effect I really don’t understand that !! I literally don’t I am a designers person, I enjoy designer fragrances as much as niche but there’s something very nostalgic about designer fragrances I just can’t seem to let go of them .. I hear you I have the same feelings and really get what you mean about investing in niche fragrances more
Great video - I found out yesterday from Hermes that they are discontinuing Un Jardin Apres la Mousson and interdicting a new Hermès Jardin from Christine Nagel. Very sad as it’s my favourite garden perfume from that beautiful collection.
Discontinued from designers or reformulated versions from niche houses are the same in my eyes. Nowadays if I get a new release, I know it’s probably the only time it’ll smell that way. It’s a shame and a sham.
Lancome also discontinued last summer their great scent from 1995 called "Poeme"!!! I was informed earlier by my friend( from the brand) and managed to buy a bottle of 75 ml of the parfume.

I've been thinking the same thing. Got spare bottles, e.g. from Ricci, Balanciaga, Mugler, etc. And some I just let go, waiting for good copies on the oriental market and buy Niches...The prices of designer fragrances are also starting to be there, so why bother with Dior? Well, Dior knows how to kill favorites by slowly strangling too. What a shame.
Si Fiori is my absolute favorite everyday Signature scent, its literally my #1 favorite fragrance! I have 5 bottles and 2 empty bottles, i wish they would bring it back!
I follow you since the very beginning, I remember the old days in wich you were saying "no, niche are too expencive i'm not interested in them" 😅 and now look at you 😆 you did the upgrade! I had almost the same path in fragrance as you had...now i don't even stop at Sephora to smell the new flankers, all of them are boring!! 😴 I have as you 80% niche now.
Pure xs from Paco Rabanne and also Iris Cèdres from Prada (lovely for summer) should be added to the list. Btw I'm also heartbroken for Kenzo l'Elixir considering it's my favorite winter perfume :(
According to a friend of mine who is in the soap business, an ingredient used in 93% of the perfumes in the market has been banned because it's dangerous for our health. This might explain why so many perfumes are being discontinued.

OMG! TEZZURA is so many people's favourite! excuse me ;) I like So Scandal it is the most upscale, sophisticated of the line, A Paris my second favourite! I don't care about Burberry Her series since they expected to be paid £90 for the new version, they think because the hype they are worth as much as Miss Dior ;) Yes, Kenwo World Powe amazing composition & quality !
My fav ever discontinued is VIIENNE Westwood Boudoir ....! ELLIE SAAB the resort :( if only the new versions smelled the same...Unfortunatelly they are weaker... But they brought GUCCI RUSH back ! I wonder what was behind that decision ?
Same here- I only started last year my fragrances collection and used up 100 ml of angel muse edp- love it So much 🌰🌰❤️ this is a crime that they discontinued that 😢 I have 2 back up bottles of 100 ml refills but I’m affraid it will not be enough for lifetime 😢😢 is there anything on the market even a little bit similar to angel muse edp?🤔 if anyone knows Please let us all know- we will need that for sure ❤

Thank you for going over this list. I went to The Byredo boutique a week ago and they told me that they are discontinuing a few fragrances by this summer. My favorite is Pulp by Byredo and that scent will be getting discontinued. I am already saving up to buy several back ups. Also, do you prefer Kenzo World Power over Juliette Has a Gun Vanilla Vibes? I've tried Vanilla Vibes, but I've never tried World Power and I wanted to see your opinion.

I'm scared to watch! I'm such a brat 😂 Oh I knew the blue mon guerlain was going bye bye and I bought a bottle at the beginning of the fall. I was so happy I was able to find one. Love my blueberry intensement! I just bought a decant of guilty intense thank goodness, I had no clue that was being discontinued. I'm actually sad over the Tresor folie and the scandal by night 😔
@@rbdvivi1 After hearing Burberry Her intense was discontinued I had to leave the video for a bit lol. I have only ever smelled it in Ulta and I was only there by coincidence otherwise I'd have never even smelled it the 1 time. Oh my goodness I really wanted to get my hands on that soon but now it's gonna be hard and more expensive. Guess I'm just gonna go without but I enjoy my fragrances. I'm a mom of 3 and my girls are only 3 and 5. So this is now my hobby, my me time ya know. Smh, irritating for sure. I'm going to start getting into niche brands even more than I have because of this. I mean how long was Burberry Her intense out for? Maybe 2 years? Yeah I've got some niche brands that I'm gonna fill up my new spring and summer scents for the next 6 months with. Designer brands obviously don't care about their consumers.
