Just got one of these and the 4-function button was confusing me, thank you for the video!! I love my other Paul C Buff light (alienbee), can't wait to break this one in! I just wish they would fix that horrible grip system they have on all of them. It takes all my finger strength to pull all 4 clamps back enough to slip on an octobox and, especially with the bigger boxes, my heart stops beating when I try to remove them without touching, scratching, or shattering those bulbs. Of all the things for them to not have a good solution for 'how to clamp on an attachment' should not have been the trouble-point. But aside from that.. love these things, thank you!
I have a Sekonic 478DR and 2 Pocket Wizards Flex TT5 for Nikon. You have made the DigiBee very appealing, especially with putting the cold shoe on top to hold a Pocket Wizard receiver. Will the Sekonic control the flash output of the Digibee or only measure the output set manually or set with the CyberCommander?

most of the day under normal conditions actually. they have a pulse drain chart on paul c buffs website :) ive never drained one in a day, a normal loooong shot is only 5+ hours
Just got the new Digibee, however when i try to fire it with the CC, the flash on the unit turns off, and stays off. The CC main screen reads Main L on the left and Digibee 800 on the left. I can control the modeling lamb, however the flash will not cycle on, regardless how long I hold the button down. Any suggestions?
Tony, if you haven't gotten an answer yet, I'd advise calling Customer Support at Paul C. Buff. They're very helpful. I had to call them about how to use the Cyber Commander (powerful but not intuitive to learn and not the best manual). The person I spoke with was very patient and walked me through it over the phone.
Maybe I read it wrong and have it confused with the flash duration listed on the spec page. Its says color mode and action mode, thought that's what it meant. Can someone help out and explain it? www.paulcbuff.com/images/data/e640_comp1.jpg
The oil would remain on the flash tube. Would cause premature death of your xenon light. Im sure Ken could explain better but its the same principal with car headlights. Basically the heat is trapped.
