Poch is a fantastic hire for the USA and one that I think could take the USMNT from rank outsiders to having a punchers chance at making a run to the Semi's if not better at the World Cup, a very solid pool of players, a home crowd behind them and now a proven manager with relative success in 3 of Europe's big 5 leagues. I was really hoping England would make a push for him, now he's gone to the US I'm praying that after Lee Carsley's interim year we'll appoint Pep if he's looking to stay in England after leaving City this coming Summer. As for Poch, I think it makes sense for him, or any USA coach to live in Europe as most, if not all of, the USA's best players play in Europe.

Now to finally comment on the video topic, congrats for getting Pochettino mate, yeah he started badly with Chelsea and the wheels had started to fall off at Tottenham by the end but still, he is the one that KEPT Spurs in the CL consistently. He GOT them to a CL final (starting Kane controversy aside). He had turned it around at this mess of a Chelsea team and he STILL got sacked. Definite reason for optimism with the US NT now.

Realistically the best hire you😮 could've made, just on reputation alone, he's probably the biggest name that CONCACAF's ever had, I think he'll work well (though nothing is ever 100%) Matt Crocker deserves credit, he's knocked this one out of the park, Poch's system isn't overly complicated but it is intense (Weston McKennie cant show up overweight if he wants to play), at international level it should serve him well, it'll probably get the best out of a young squad (Berhalter imo tried to be clever and overcomplicate things, at International level you don't have the time with the players to pull that off) like I said with younger players just keep it simple and let them play

The US do not have anyone that can score. Alexis Lalas literally during the Gold Cup looked at the camera and said "if you have a US passport and can score a goal, let us know" It's a great hire but the squad doesn't have enough skill. GK is poor, no Strikers and mid field is a question. We had some great teams in the past with mid coaches. Now we have a mid squad with a great coach.

He definitely is a good coach and a good choice for you. But you are overhyping him a bit. He proved at PSG and Chelsea that he is not quite a coach for the top clubs. Borderline champions league / Europa league? Yes. But not for the top clubs. So saying he belongs to Bayern or something is nuts. I would say in club football his next offers would have been something like Sevilla. But to get a coach from this level to coach a borderline top 15 national team is really good. But one of the highest qualified coaches in this century? Come on Z that is to much not true :D
