I knew every beat and every word to these songs when I was sixteen years old, now that I am a woman of a certain age, I am happy to say my love for their music was not misplaced. It was exquisite then, and it is exquisite now. Well done gentlemen!

Amen brother, so glad we have this....Bruford would make it PERFECT, but a lot of people undersell Alan...I'm just quite alright with him!

F___ Bill. He left an astonishing ensemble on his own accord. He's been bitchin and moaning on a regular basis about it ever since. The late Alan White was a superstar member of the best band ever. Burford turned into a bitchy clown with regards to yes. The spectacular creations after he departed should have been his conversation and appreciation. But he wasn't quite up for that. Thus the bitch thing.

The good ol' days! The last time I saw this line up was in May 2004, Tampa, FL. Jon came down from the stage to hug people. All of a sudden he came my way and hugged a girl sitting behind me but when he turned around I grabbed both his shoulders from behind him and said, "Thank you, Jon, thank you!" He kept on going but then turned his head to make eye contact with me and gave me a smile. Or, so I think. Whatever the case might be, I truly miss this line up, I truly do.

On my first listen of the Close to the Edge album, I thought there was no way to top the title song. But then Siberian Khatru came on and I was proven wrong. The lyrics, Steve Howe’s licks and Chris Squire layin down the bass line...wow!

just saw "Yes" in Birmingham, Al....Davison is a very good singer, but the chief lyricist and soul of this band is Jon Anderson. Downes is a fine keyboardist, but nothing like what you hear from Wakeman in this piece. Downes and Howe have no keyboard/guitar battles and Downes solos are kept to a minimum. The volume on the boards is reduced to a minimum (I'm guessing Steve insisted on that -- ) anyway Yes music is timeless and I'm glad somebody is performing it.

It was the last time I saw this lineup also and it was in Tampa also, totally loved Minddrive.Bummer that the Ice Palace was only half full So glad that Yes can e to the Tampa Bay area, got a chance to hear all three singers barring Trevor Horn.Benoit was in my humble opinion better than Davidson, he seemed to hit the high notes like Mr. Anderson.

Simon Kirkwood Yes was riding the highest of waves at this time, agree. But, I am personally happy they continued with Trevor Rabin in place of Steve Howe,,,, Loved the one Yes album he cowrote. I love Tormato, awesome album with Chris Squire showing his unique talents on his Rickenbacker, a piano sounding bass with incredible sustain, (been playing one since 1984 myself).. I had the pleasure of watching Chris Squire and Allen White for a solo (sort of) effort with members of Toto for the Chris Squire Experiment in San Diego. Allen White is a pleasurable man who I enjoyed a conversation with after the gig, just think.... he drummed for John Lennon in the Plastic Ono Band!.... think Paul and John should have quit,,, no classic Wings songs... sad to think of that. Quit?... no, never... as long as we enjoy their craft and they enjoyed performing,,,, there was always a full room. I love Yes, miss Chris and hope all the members of Yes enjoy a long and happy retirement. Thank you Yes.

Hippie Dave I believe Simon meant they should have stopped after the tour shown here (2003). Perhaps you realized that too and were simply commenting on the pre-90125 decision to carry on as well. Either way I agree with Simon...2003 was the end. They are just a tribute band now. I guess one could argue that so is Anderson, Wakeman and Rabin. But I did see their show and it was terrific. Chris’ absence is huge, but hearing Jon sing again makes it at least seem close to the old band.

Yes, probably the last time they were really great. I saw them in 2008 or 2009, with Benoit David on vocals and (I think) Oliver Wakeman on keyboards and they were already little more than a tribute band by then. They should've stopped when Anderson couldn't perform for health reasons and only restarted once he'd recovered.

All British 'rock gods', including Jon Andersen, eventually end up looking like they should be playing in a workingmen's club. Still, Yes' brilliance shines through here, doesn't it? It just doesn't seem as important now that they are so much older. Sad, really ...

It's hard to believe sometimes that there was a time when songwriting and performance on this level could be witnessed by anybody who had the time and money to go see a concert, by YES or any other number of top notch bands. I saw them twice in the late 70's; I had to drive a few hours and spent a little bit of money, but you can't buy a concert like this again.
