The author of One Piece has actually been working on helping this adaption for the past couple years, closely supervising everything and helped with the script. There had to be some compromise due to the differences in background for everyone, but it looks promising all around! I believe it’s gonna be the East Blue Saga for this season. Also the post time skip being rough is just due to how Toei does things. Unfortunately the anime really started to drag because they’re required to make weekly episodes and unfortunately it caught up with them. I really can’t recommend the anime to anyone just cause I’ve never really liked it as a whole outside of a few exceptions

i have been following the live action for a while and i'm quite exited and oda (the creator of one piece) has said that he is going to try and make this perfect for the whole world. so in the aspect of the characters and how it's structured i am not worried about it's just the cgi that i'm worried about but in the trailer the cgi looked good so i'm just exited for it.

I havent seen one peice and i dont plan on it (not allowed to watch anime) but it looks sick!!

Unfortunately Netflix adaptations of anime hasn't been good so im very cautious. I had the displeasure of watching the Death Note movie and my god it was awful. Cowboy Bebop wasnt much better. Here's hoping its alright.
