Right? It was puffing clouds of fire in the last update and it looked super weird. Now it actually looks like it's igniting fuel to burn again. Much better imo
@CBRN-115 they won't admit it, but we all know most of the dogshit decisions had to have been pushed through by Alexus, that one dev who fucked over Hello Neighbor 2 and another game I can't recall the name of atm. It also didn't help that most of them went on summer break for like 6 weeks as well
@@Sharsis8 TBH, it's probably not the fault of one solo dev. Maybe a publisher pressured them to get a patch out before it was tested and ready to ship. Bad executive decisions can be taken by multiple parties, but Arrowhead as a whole will still take responsability, they won't throw someone under the bus.
I reinstalled the game and logged in literally an hour before the patch dropped. The flamer was a flaming pile of dogshit. Recoil and horrible visuals alone were cursed. I'm glad my war-crime spewing baby is back
The cool thing is that it can DAMAGE chargers as the napalm seeps through the armor, but with AT being buffed and the flamer taking awhile AT launchers are still viable AF. Recoiless gang rise up.
@@conscripthornet4430 quasar has charge up time tho, and theoretically is slower with buddy reloads. The upsides are pretty big for quasar, but I think recoil less is at least closer now
I haven’t played much so far but the hour I played was filled with diverse loadouts. For the first time in I don’t know how long I noticed everyone was using different primary and support weapons. And everyone was putting in work. It was awesome. I just hope from now on they stop nerfing everything like they were
As much shit as they do wrong you have to respect and even admire them actually trying to please the fans when they speak up. Until the next big controversy 😂
@@microwavegommmm916 still, we know corpo heads desire money and will sacrifice cildren to get more, they come to their senses in their own twisted way
@@microwavegommmm916 from what i know they're doing everything they can. this doesnt guarantee that they will get it unlocked, but they're damn sure trying. ultimately though its up to sony who i really hope will listen.
What's funny is this used to be a broken charger killer: but now with all the antitank options buffed: this is no longer the best or most popular way to kill chargers. All they had to do to stop the flame thrower meta was give us more viable anti tank options.
What's even better is that with the damage buff and flames rework, the flamethrower primary and secondary are actually ridiculously good now. The bots are still extremely broken, unfortunately.
Now all that's left is purge the DEI mods that ban people for disliking furry art from their community management and to reopen the Helldivers to global markets again and the game is better than ever.
i got perma banned for putting laugh emote on a troll account imitating the furry CM's name, the power tripping is unreal not that i liked their Discord in the 1st place so that might've been blessing in disguise
I haven't played the game in a few months because I burnt myself out, no pun intended. But It's amazing to see Helldivers still being updated and the developers trying their best. It's even more amazing seeing this right after Outlaws videos.
Loving how this patch made the AT weapons much more useful AND made it so many other weapons can deal with heavy armor giving you way more options for loadouts especially on the bug side But they should add an enemy, a larger enemy that is the definition of a glass cannon, super fast super fragile super deadly
I kinda just moved on from the game itself tbh. Doesn't help that I had ended a toxic irl friendship that was mostly based mostly on playing the game, and now Helldivers 2 is a stinging reminder of that.
Depends on the upcoming patches. If they follow this new philosophy that aligns with what the players want then sure, however, if they start balancing or changing stuff nobody asked them to... well...
Thank goodness, flamethrowers are always my go to in games, have been since Killingfloor 1, I just think they're neat. The nerf really broke my heart, it is a pretty tricky weapon to use safely so there was just no reward for using it. Now it feels so much better, looks better and is actually worth the risk again.
the primary and secondary flamethrowers got a bigger damage buff then the strategem flamerthrower for the the primary "torcher",and secondary"crisper" it is a 50% damage buff and for the strategem support flamethrower it is a 33% damage increase just so anyone knows incase they didn't
looking at it closely, I believe that when they tweaked the behavior of flamethrowers, it meant messing around with the flame textures that go out and bounce off of objects and enemies. When they did this, they broke something in the code that caused the flame ball textures to start out small when leaving the nozzle and grow as they traveled outward. As a result, the flame ball textures left the nozzle at full size, creating this gross looking effect that made it stop looking like a stream of liquid. this all to say , they didnt make a design change to the effect, they broke it, but all the existing animations were playing that were always there save for the "small to large" effect of the flame balls.
It took more than half a year, but it seems like they finally realized they shouldn't balance the game like it's a competitive shooter. I really hope this comment doesn't age poorly.
I hope people really start giving it credit again - they threw away hours of work and reverted things or buffed them entirely just like everyone wanted. Probably the ONLY thing I can think of that they didn't accomplish like they should have with this patch, is invisible mines which I think still exist for other players
i mostly care about not setting myself on fire when diving back. i guess they fixed it now before ppl start toxic sludging themselves in the new warbond
Been trying a fun new loadout ever since this fix. Torcher is viable, not flamethrower levels but pretty close! So I use torcher and MG-43 now. I like it
I didn't really care about how it looked. But the bouncing and lack of armor pen was so bad. Like what is even the point of a short range high dps weapon if it is completely useless on high priority targets.
See Arrowhead? See how much you need to torch a stationary charger for it to die? That was always so OBVIOUSLY acceptable. That's not a heavy-counter, that's just alternative damage-method. What could've made them think otherwise...
Genuinely asking, are you actually serious or did I miss something in the months I didnt play? before the flamethrower nerf I could kill chargers in 2 seconds aiming at their leg
@@eljovenaleman7147 same boat as you, havent played in a while. but i think they changed something with burn damage since it got buffed like 1000 times consecutively.
glad everyone else is happy ... personally i still just cant fathom why this sht is supposed to be celebrated .... they literally had to power to "NOT NERF/BUFF" everything but decided to wait for whatever reason, but me and my friends have legit moved on... happy they buffed things back for those who still wanna helldive.... but as for these recent "un-nerfs", me and my friends we're just, "ehh, maybe some other time."
im glad everyone is having fun with the game again but i just don't think they deserve any praise yet not until we know it just wont get all nerfed again next patch. i still can't trust them. how do we know this is just a patch to please players for a bit just to say to share holders look more people rejoined ease give us money. then after a bit just put everything back again to nerfed trash again. look i don't want to be that guy but after all thats happened with this game i cant help but be extremely skeptical.
Hehe took me a while (i should read)... i was thinking "star wars outlaws got a graphical upgrade?" That's what i get for remembering your channel just for those videos :D
light armor + fire = death unless you drop, it has always been like this, crashes are highly situational, you are the first person i hear calling out crashes till now, had 2/3 operations after the patch and no crash in sight
