Arlan is more reasonable, and taking care of the money, and is more responsible than Asta. And after all, it's Asta who entrusted Arlan with this task, and Arlan resisting over Asta pressure, is very good.

The writing in this game is so good. The VAs also fuckin' KILLED it. Such a well made game, in all aspects. Except may the gacha. The pulls hurt my soul.

I find it very funny how Felecia Angelle ended up voicing 2 different characters in two different Hoyoverse games that both happen to be astrologers and who are both very careless/reckless with money She also voices Hook too, which is just wow, that range... Mona is astrologist but Asta is astronomer. It's different. Astrology is kind of pseudo-science, more "magic" like, meanwhile Astronomy is the science that studies the stars.
something cool about ENG voice acting in Star Rail (and Genshin) is that most of the characters sound very natural as they speak, as if they were real people. Some of fanbase is accustomed to exaggerated voice acting in anime-styled media and don't like this style of voice acting (and that's totally fine) but I personaly love this. There are few exceptions but we won't talk about that here.
Been listening to some other video games in English dub and I really think it makes a huge difference if the voice actors are told that they don't have to follow pre-set lip syncing. There are some voice actors who sound amazing in Genshin or Star Rail whom I've heard in other games/anime dubs that do follow pre-set lip syncing and the difference is really noticeable.
True though I think in Genshin the lip sync thing can be fixed if they use AI. I believe star rail has that with their characters so that it matches the language I believe?

Right from the start I felt that Kafka was using the same cadence for every single sentence, like every sentence was supposed to seduce someone who hasn't heard the rest of her sentences. The way she speaks did not change at all through the entire intro. So after playing the beta I switched to JP, even though I liked EN in Genshin.
@@amelieoresky884 I don't think Kafka sounds seductive, more like very bored, because she knows "the script" so nothing excites her, except battles where she sounds more "alive"
Asta is Arlan's sugar mommy(fight me) but Arlan is also Asta's financial manager. It's like the weirdest relationship that they have and I wheeze everytime it is brought up.
Maybe if it was shown that he was using her to fund projects he was involved/interested in, but all we ever see is him interested in her as a person. Arlan may be a borderline simp, but he is definitely not any kind of gold digger.

Asta's honestly the only character that makes me want to switch to EN voiceover but since most of her interactions are with Arlan and I REALLY prefer his JP voiceover I'm gonna stick to that

Nah, Credits are a Fiat currency distributed by the Interastral peace corporation to settle accounts between customers, the reason they're accepted basically everywhere is because IPC is so powerful it made credits a reserve currency. The Herta space station does have its own Crypto Currency called Hertaeum though, Herta made it the dedicated currency of her station so she could print NFT's of her face and sell them to people, that woman is a menace.

this and the arlan pressure scene were some of the most amazing VA moments ive encountered in games. it's also what cemented Asta as my favorite hoyo character. so much personality in this universe
