Yes.. You can play as Venom again in Spider-Man 2 

Edit: As pointed out by @pgp in the comments below, you can also get the glitch to work by quickly closing your game at the right time instead of turning your PS5 off, though the timing may be slightly different Also worth noting, once you get the glitch to work and are playing as Venom, you can make a Manual Save which will let you resume playing as Venom any time you want, you don't have to go through all the trouble of getting it it to work again.

They should definitely have Venom be a reward for completing the game on Ultimate or something like that. Would be so cool, similar to old school games like the 2002 Spiderman Movie game where you could play as Green Goblin after you beat the story

This would be a great free update reward for 100% completions. Completely non canon, completely goofy, but super fun

He’s definitely going to be playable in the future , might have a mode just for him like In ultimate Spider-Man

Insomniac can't stop us from finding probably the best Glitches. They tried to fix the first and easy Venom glitch but we found another one. But seriously... they need to Nerf Venom a little bit if he gets his own game. He can kill like 30 criminals in 2 seconds

marvel spider man 2 has the best glitch’s I seen turning into the amazing cube, having the chair fly you up 4000 meters, running up on air pass 4000 meters and Venom gaming seriously how the hell did these guys even discover some of these. “Let Me keep jumping on this chair” “let me try running up from the glitchy pawn so I can keep running on an invisible wall” “let me shut of my PS5 in hopes I can be gaming as the lethal protector”

I heard that only 10% of Tony Todd's voice recordings was used for the Venom content, Im drooling at the prospect of a Venom free roam dlc and the fact that people are still breaking the game just to be able to play as Venom is a clear enough indication there is demand for it.

Playing as Venom is the dream. I remember playing Ultimate Carnage on Sega Genesis and thinking how awesome it was to play as Venom. I wish developers would just make free roam with any character a thing. Compete the game and play as whoever. It wouldn’t “break the canon”… not any more than some of the costumes. I mean, I’m certain this version of Spider-Man hasn’t met Miguel yet he has his suit…

Why this wasn't already included in the game is beyond me. Spiderman games more than a decade old did this and it was awesome.

Insomniac really needs to bring a mode for venom like in the ultimate spider man game, they even gave him the back breaker.

I might be Tinfoil Ned here but look at the Symbiote Brute’s hands. It’s almost like they made a dedicated animation for venom picking them up and carrying them. There’s no other character or ally that can pick up these foes right? So if they put in this animation for them to get carried around by Venom, that means that Venom might be able to be played at a later time through an update or DLC

It worked for me on the first try by unplugging the PS5 directly from the power as soon as the black screen of the Venom cinematic came out (it didn't work for me by turning it off from the console button or with the dualsense). Thank you for this

So it looks like venom is already playable and coded in the engine. Now for them to drop the DLC to make it "Available"

This should be a feature, the animations work so well it almost looks official.

It's a very cool glitch but I don't think it's worth destroying your PS5 over but I do hope insomniac make a Venom spin-off game in the near future

But still it's hard to traverse in the game which I wish they added the long jump and climbing war feature in that section like ultimate spiderman so we can have more fun in this glitch

Being able to pick up civilians makes me wonder if the original plan was to allow you to play as Venom for a more extended period of time or a section where you're just attacking NY, because I don't know why else you'd be able to do that. I don't believe they're coded in the same manner as enemies, and as is there's no reason for there to be an exception for Venom... But I guess it just depends on how the game handles a player attempting to hit a civilian vs a thug as Spider-Man.

This is all I wanted, would be a dream come true if it's an option in the game, and not do it trough a glitch, many thanks for finding this glitch 😁

I can confirm that fidelity mode does not have to be on. Did it first try , unplugged the cable directly from the ps5 and not the wall. Right after it goes to the black screen.

I wish the game had a endless horde mode similar to the Batman arkham games. It'd be fun to play as venom killing an endless amount of enemies.

For me, the glitch took effect immediately when I got close to the drone mission. The city also turned really dark, but it was still sunset.

Like the undies, there should be a 100% reward In this case, the ability to switch to venom, with the FSM app like Peter or miles And ofc, they need to give him more mechanics like better movement like go up walls better and interact with objects for example and maybe he can use his wings like Peter and miles And maybe some alternate suits because why not? I’d like to play as a classic venom or Tom Hardy venom

I think there’s a legitimate chance we might get the option to free roam as Venom post-game in the next update: -There’s no way Insomniac developed a whole new combat style just for a single segment -Saying it wouldn’t make sense story-wise wouldn’t really matter considering we get the symbiote suits (+ the black tendrils in the update) post game

Insomniac should just make a ng+ where you play as venom the whole time.

Now after people discover this, beware of Venom riding a bicycle videos all over the place.

Considering venom isn’t completely broken in a free roam glitch….like in most games, the character would break if in a free roam glitch. That definitely proves that insomniac has more potential with venom than just a few story missions

It’s unfortunate I have the save so I did it correct but I already did all side stuff before completing and so far nothing has triggered the change.

I really wish they had side missions where you could play as venom, like maybe Spiderman comes across ruined landmarks or symbiote nests then it cuts to a flashback of Venom destorying the place or making it his territory. I feel like they could've included him way more in this game honestly, wasted opportunity.

If they make a Venom solo game or DLC I hope either Eddie Brock ir Flash Thompson is the host.

Hi, I been trying to do the glitch 3 times now but when I reopen the game to see the load file, it says "locate harry's badge". I close the game on time, it on fidelity mode and everything, but the load file doesn't show "don't be scared" with no mission objective. What do I do, please help!

Btw if you were STILL struggling then try spamming pause at the cutscene were he is about to jump off then the second u can't pause anymore go to homescreen close the game as fast as possible and do what the vid says
