YUP, you know I started looking at some of the western advent calendars and it’s like… Ulta GWPs lol. I’m sure they’re still fun to open, but the K-Beauty calendars are truly on another level 🤩 Haha yes I have such an absolute blast with these (I’m gathering that’s obvious lol!)

I feel like the trickiest part will be rolling out the longer term reviews. What to test first! (Some by mi is a good idea, ty!)

It’s the 2021 stylevana advent calendar and remains my favorite for skincare shelves of all time. I have no idea why, but you can’t buy shelves that work as perfectly for skincare?!

So ... I have a fantastic idea for repurposing those boxes. My friend says I need to be a content creator, but idk if I can come up with that many ideas. Anywho, I have been wanting to photograph a Xmas 🌲 with skincare as ornaments. So, these boxes can actually be skincare ornament presents and you can actually upcycle used ribbon to hang them on. Wouldn't that be such an amazing party with great favors!?! Even a meet & greet Xmas time background and gift the boxes to superfans through a game. This is the wonderland of my brain. 😊

Yup, as I try out more Asian beauty makeup, I’m finding that there’s a lot I can skip from Sephora/Ulta! The only catch being foundation/concealer products as the shade ranges are quite limited (but none of that in the advent calendar anyway, of course)

Hi. I use 0.1% tretinoin on my face but have been nervous about using retinol products around my eyes. Would love to know how much your eye cream has helped with fine lines and wrinkles. I have thin crepey skin too - wonder if it would help with that. Thank you.

It’s hard to say. I admit I was more excited by yesstyle’s because I already own a lot from Stylevana’s. But for those who want to try more of the hyped/popular products, it’s that exact reason why Vana’s might be the better option Basically, both retailers outdid themselves this year (and I’m glad to see it!)

😱😱 sorry for tangent, but can I ask what you got from Flower Knows? I’ve started ordering the C-Beauty that popped up on YesStyle and oh my goodness, Flower Knows is DREAMY. My favorite so far is the chocolate contour palette 😍

This actually made my day since I've been following you for 2 to 3 years now 😍🩵😊 *apologizes for the excitement* I ordered almost 1 or more of each item of the Swan Ballet collection minus the perfumes and the liquid liners. I watched a few videos by Maggie Tang and loved how indepth she was with the Swan Ballet review and compared other things she's ordered from Flower Knows. I'm a sucker for Swans and Ballet but I could NOT afford the trunk which was a bummer but it was almost 600 (around 570 was on-sale until the 15th) Based on her review they've improved the formulas on a couple things so I recommend her channel for looking into more of the brand as well. I was not able to get any of the perfumes but I really want to know if their perfumes from the brand are worth it or not. I know it is pretty packaging but at the end of the day I want to know if it lasts as long as a $10 bath and body works body spray if you know what I mean or if it really lasts like a perfume you'd spend $80 or more on. I really want to try the Strawberry eyeshadow pallette as well but not sure which neutral would be best ( I need to own at least one basic neutral pallette that I can travel with that doesn't have super dark shadows so I'm torn right now on it). Im really eyeing Circus Blue Moonlight Gradient blush as well but I knew I'd have to do it in a separate order in the near future since it's now $30. If you ever decide to do a review on things from Flower Knows I'd would be super excited! I'm supposed to be getting my package between the 22nd and October 7th. 🩵🩵🩵You're the reason I started trying more K brands and I've been very happy with what I've found so I haven't needed to spend a fortune in sephora or ulta in an extremely long time. Oh my gosh we are so in the same headspace, Maggie’s videos have been so helpful!! I also want the trunk but goodness knows I am not a rich person haha (although I admit that very trunk inspired what i ended up doing with this advent calendar packaging haha!) I feel like C-Beauty is filling this void that existed between K and J Beauty and Ulta/Sephora. I do like the soft pigment and natural looks from K-Beauty makeup, but sometimes I want more. Surprisingly, I’m finding Flower Knows eyeshadow to lean a bit softer, but I’ve been amazed by the pigmentation from Zeesea and Colorkey. Flower Knows blush is also softer, but Zeesea’s palace identity blush is UP THERE in boldness. I’m continuing to experiment and have been wondering if folks would be curious to hear how that’s going (I know there can be stigma with C-Beauty, but all these brands advertise their cruelty free status which is fantastic to see 😍)

@AliceintheRabbitHole I've wanted to try all the brands you've listed but I also have had a hard time choosing. I also wanted to try Florasis for about a year and then I realized through reviews it was mainly beautiful embossing and pretty packaging because a lot of colors are very diluted so I never purchased any. Then I found Flower Knows almost a year ago when they had their Unicorn drop but I was afraid to take the plunge. Although I cannot lie, the pallette I purchased for the Swan Ballet which was the white one I think 01, I'm not sure if I'll even use it because it is gorgeous so I'm on the fence about it but I plan to use everything else but i did get it on sale at the time for 25 so im not too wooried if it becomes a decoration lol. I'm just getting to that point where sometimes I want a natural light look and even though I love my About Face paints, they can still be darker than what I'm looking for even with buffing and the same for my Natasha Denona Glam and Bronze pallettes. I love them but I need just 1 thing in my arsenal that I can put on my eyes without feeling I need to do an entire face of makeup. You know when you start with the eyeshadow and then it becomes way more than you wanted so you have to go the full 10 yards 🤣. But even if you ever want to do a battle of the J,K,C makeup pallettes I think it would be insightful since you are very honest and dedicated in your reviews which is why I always try to see if you have a video on something before I buy it. 🩵

They’re both so good this year! I like that YesStyle went with an even split of makeup/skincare, while Stylevana went just about full skincare. I feel like that clear cut division should hopefully help some folks trying to decide!

I’m convinced it’s a scam by YesStyle. They send out free boxes to influences who promote their website, it’s not available in Australia either or many other Asian countries either. I don’t blame the influencer but I wish they would wise up that they and their followers are being played.
