Probably the finest alto female voice ever!

She was my favorite female singer, growing up..and this was my favorite song!...in 1983 when she died, i was visiting my cousin in California. He lived about a 15 minute drive from where the funeral was in Downey...So ironic and sad. I literally cried when she died and decided to take a city bus to the funeral...A lot of fans and celebrities were there...The ceremony was very touching..I will never forget it. I still have the program they handed us from that day , Febuary 8th , 1983

My all time favorite female singer...i was in California not far from where she lived with her parents in 1983...i was in total shock when i heard that she had died...i got on a bus and went to her funeral in Downey...I cried the day i heard about her death while i was there...i still have her funeral service pamphlet they were handing out to people who attended...What a sad day...

Karen really had a fabulous voice and it is such a pity that she died so young.

The show/entertainment business is very destructive mentally and physically. They say Karen always thought she was to big physically; she just wouldn't eat her brother said years later. The pressure is so huge. Recordings, appearances, contract obligations etc, etc, etc. I don't know how ANY can handle it. Many can"t sadly. Great singer, not the greatest, but great.

Does anyone know what instrument is played at 0:27? Is it a music box or trinket? Also is it in the original recording? I cant seem to find the CD version of this.

Wow!!! This enhanced version is amazing. I had no idea that you added other instruments to the song until I looked at the description of your channel. It sounds a lot more rich now compared to the original. Did you use ProTools to mix this? I was wondering if you used surround panning or Dolby Atmos for mixing this to make things sound more spacious compared to stereo? Awesome work!
