Excellent review! They are both part of Yeti’s DayTrip series but one is called a Lunch box and the other is a lunch bag. That’s as far as their naming difference goes.

I think we can all agree we’d like you to pack each lunchbox with the same items, and pack another lunchbox of your choice with the same items, then go on a hike. Get to a point where you’re sweating your butt off, sit down, open the lunchboxes, and tell us which one has the coldest water, or “brewskthee’s”. That will offer so much more necessary and appreciated information…

Thanks for the review. With the lunch bag version, why not just stack 2 of the ice blocks on top of each other. It's still pretty tall to compensate.

All these "reviews" seem like ads just showcasing the product in front of a camera. I cant find a practical review where people put actual food inside. Just generic... "look how many cans it can fit."

@@gearsNtools I dont disagree because it gives a good sense of scale but because everyone has cans as a someone who's looking at reviews I know how many cans it can fit because everyone uses that as a metric. I mean, the product page does the "can" thing. I guess what im saying is it would be nice to see more practical use case that can provide a different perspectives. Otherwise it feels like someone making a video showcasing the item and reading specs off a product page. That being said I do appreciate your video. ✌✌

I have to say, definitely not a day trip at all. It does not keep the temperature cool refrigerator cool at all. Within 5hrs, the drinks are not ice cold even with the 2lbs Yeti ice pack. Definitely Yeti design is amazing, but performance is not Yeti standard at all.

it seems to work for me, I suppose if you left it in a hot car or something it might not stay.as cold for as long. I also keep my stuff in the fridge until I'm ready to go so the ice just needs to keep it cold vs cool it down from room temp.

@gearsNtools - That's good to know! I'll do that next time. I definitely keep it in the hot car because I travel to different schools for my job. Perhaps, I'll leave it at a school and return to the school mid-day for lunch.

Yes 😞 I carry mine by placing it in a canvas bag to reduce the chance of rubbing it on something dirty.
