They must’ve really improve these because I’ve owned these for I would say a couple years now. Mine does have the magnet slide and I use this almost daily. It keeps my coffee hot for hours. The only downside is that it’s difficult to travel with so this is my at home and I use a 20 ounce yeti Tumblr for travel. I feel that it’s worth every penny also, mine has never been stained like yours is on the inside. I think they improve that as well.
I used mine with coffee daily and just rinse them out with water. I used the same mug for a week and then I put it in the dish washer. I may need to use something to take out the stains.
I find a squirt of kitchen bleach spray swirled around only when needed and before putting it in the dishwasher makes the inside look like new every time. I totally agree with filling with hot water letting it sit for a few minutes, dumping the hot water out and filling with coffee or tea. It keeps your beverage hot for hours. The mag-slider lid is the way to go keeps beverages hot or cold much longer. These mugs are for home, cottage, trailer and work not for commuting or hiking because of their size. When commuting I use the 20 oz that seems to be the perfect size for me. When in the Caribbean on the beach or at the pool then it’s the 30 oz for me.
I like mugs for in house ( larger base non tip ), i drink coffee leave lid off till reaches drinking temp , put lid on it stays same temp till i finish i have black, seafoam , and chartruse mugs. Then i got 3 yeti tumblers for on the go . Yeti just impresses me more than any other tumbler. Thanks for update ,be good. To stop seal beading ,wet seal before u put on mug it seals tighter . Just a tip i do by the way ,if you try tumbler , get a 20 oz the 30 is so heavy i put yeti handle on it, (its big). Tip by way yeti needs dried out stops buildup . To remove buildup fill cup with hot water, drop in dishwasher tab, let sit an hour ,then dump out and dry . Look new again.
This is one size that I haven’t tried. Love my larger ones as they keep things cold for quite a while. Glad to see the results of dishwashing. I’ve always hand washed but it is a pain.
By the way u can cook packs of oatmeal in just grap 2 pouches oatmeal( add 1 splenda pack and 1 teaspoon coffee creamer) hit 8 oz button on kuerig stir with spoon put lid on let it cook 10 min its good oatmeal. P.s wendys Chili good in too. By way way better than ceramic 2 hours after brewing with lid on coffee still boiling hot u cant drink that said if u want best heat retension get a 20 oz tumbler i work an hour drive away and take 1 20 oz to drink and save other when i get to work may wait an hour after i get there to drink, still boiling hot. 3 hours later. 20oz holds heat best of any yeti.
Thanks so much for the part 2. I really enjoyed it. I don’t seem to have the steam problem that you mentioned then again I have only had mine a couple of months. Like you I just use it around the house. I have traveled with it but just don’t fill it up so much so I don’t really get an overflow problem. Honestly had I known these were not made in America I probably wouldn’t have bought it so I’m glad you let us know. It’s a good daily driver though especially during winter time when the coffee cools down quick. Thanks again for the content.
I dont understand all the ppl who publically say chartruse ugly , but ppl buy that color on ebay for 5_6 times original cost. Proud to say i got a 14oz mug and 20 oz tumbler in chartruse. Even though i am glad to see new ones have magslider lid , i got me one extra
I honestly think it turns into a supply and demand issue with yeti cups and discontinued colors. You see it in the store and don't buy it but then it disappears and you want it even for a ridiculous price.
I mentioned this quite a bit in my first video. For what they charge, Im surprised they cant be made in the USA for a profit. Or they simply can but Yeti chooses to go for a higer profit margin and has them made abroad. Some of their coolers are made in the USA.
So here’s a funny trick, use denture tablets to clean your tumbler. Just put the tablet in the cup and fill it up with water. Let it sit for like 20 mins. Dump the water, rinse well… it’ll be like brand new.
Does the inside have an 'anodized' silver finish instead of polished stainless steel? I believe Yeti has stainless steeel on the outside but not the inside where the liquid goes. Thanks for updating your reivew! If it was real stainless steel inside, baking soda will remove any stain. (I didn't like the silver anodized finish I found in Yeti's taller 30oz tumbler)
There are amercian made cups like this and they arent $75. Yeti sold $1.59 billion in product last year, you mean they can't make it here and still keep the price the same as is for these mugs.
