This does not seem very scientific. The amount of water needs to be the exact same in all bottles to get any useful data, otherwise the initial heat energy in each bottle is different regardless of if the water is the same temperature in the beginning. These results mean nothing unless this variable is kept constant.

Also every measurement has a cut(video)! looks manipulated, not believable at all! Maybe not, but it looks like it!

Also, the mugs should be placed in a triangular position. Placing it in a straight line the middle one looses less heat as it is surrounded by two hot objects. Given that the Hydro Flask was the coolest of the three suggests that it looses A LOT more heat. Lastly, the bottles have to be the same colour to keep the emissivity the same.

This is the comparison video i have been looking for! TFS! But I’ve heard that Tiger and Zojirushi are both better than any if these. Maybe a future comparison.

This is assuming you have started with boiling hot coffee. You won’t be able to sip it throughout that 5 hours because it’s too hot.

Pre-heating the thermos with boiling water makes a huge difference. Also, try and leave as little air in as possible to give you the longest time with heat

I often find that when I’m sitting down with a lidded mug I will leave the mug lid open for easy access. Would you perform the same test but with the lids turned open? Pack Hacker thank you for all the videos.

Yeah, i noticed that the Hydroflask lid was in the open position, while the others appear to be closed. Perhaps that is the difference in temperature?

@@victorlambaren1015 Btw the red showing through the hydro flask lid means that it is closed. For me I think it would be useful for the test if they showed the temps at more intervals. I'd like to see what the temps are in the bottles before the temp in the mug gets to room temperature
