i love this new era of sound, incorporating more of their musical inspirations (like shoegaze and grunge) while still retaining the glitchy and distorted vibe they’re known for. this album is gonna be their best yet i can feel it
I'm really digging the more grungy and guitar based songs on these singles. I hope to see more honestly. Their simple songs seem to be the greatest, which I like.
softscars is literally one of the most important experiences I’ve ever had - the eerie/melancholic/ethereal/techno tones of this album *literally* feed my spirit and make me feel seen (I haven’t felt something this specific since my first time experiencing Art Angels)
lyrics🖤 [Intro] Ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh [Verse] You like rotting in your bed When was the last time you were fed? Enough love, enough love, but instead You pretend like you are dead Miserably count how many Shadows you see right above me Violently biting off flesh Of your own, of your own body Cry like a baby Screaming and shakly These rotten daisies Look just like Just like you [Chorus] Sweetness, gentle Kinder, mental Black hole, black sky Angel cries, and cries, and cries Flowers around Your body, found Sick mind, sick heart Loveless, apart (Just like you) [Breakdown] Sweetness, gentle Kinder, mental (Just like you) Black hole, black sky Angel cries, and cries, and cries Sweetness, gentle Kinder, mental Black hole, black sky Sweetness, gentle Kinder, mental Black hole, black sky Angel cries, and cries, and cries [Outro] Angel cries, and cries, and cries, mm Oh Sweetness, gentle Kinder, mental Black hole, black sky Angel cries, and cries, and- Sweetness, gentle Kinder, mental Black hole, black sky Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh Yeah, that was good
I love their new music, it sounds like 90's alternative rock mixed with electronic. It makes me nostalgic and I can understand why some of the songs are about their childhood.
everyone's been constantly saying 90s and nostalgic. When is '90' going to become its own genre it sounds sick ngl. or '89' to combine the 80s and 90s. Or 'nosta9'. This was so un needed mb. 🥲
Looks like you don't know much about the nineties. This track sounds bland, banal and artificial... The chords are boring and the vocal melody is lackluster.
the mv is so unique n you look breathtaking. Can't wait to listen to the whole album. Thank you for sharing your amazing art with us, nat. The world would be so much greyer without you.
This is absolutely INSANE. This album is shaping up to be everything I wanted from alternative music lately. I KNEW they were going to be the one to watch when I started following them two years back. I do not regret that decision in the least. It's been such a rewarding ride delving into their music. 🥺❤
Such masterpiece such mind such icon such skill has never been reproduced by anyone else on the planet earth, the vocals the beat.EVERYTHING about this song is right and in the perfect order.Nothing about Yeule doesnt scream unique
@@kafkaeskebrr yess it’s amazing how much of her style and personality is in her music. girl in red is a genius too tbh and have you seen Abbey Glover on youtube? she makes her own songs and sing with her whole heart check her out🙌
Some music is used to pass the time. Whereas yeule's music stops time. Pulling the listener into various depths and heights of ferocious soundscapes/landscapes. 🌺
I look forward to a full album of this 90s alt rock-influenced style from Yeule. The way she executes it is completely brilliant. “Don’t Be So Hard On Your Own Beauty” wouldve fit beautifully on an album with this song and Sulky Baby. It’s much more like these songs than the other tracks on Glitch Princess
Every time I think I can settle on my "certified, number one Yeule song of all time", Yeule goes ahead and drops yet another breathtaking masterwork that forces me to reevaluate my entire lineup from the very beginning! The fact that not only does there exist such poignant and talented artists in the world, but that they also share so graciously their works of art with everyone puts a most wonderful smile upon my face. Yeule, you truly are an inspiration to one and all. 'softscars' is sure to be yet another reality warping experience. Gracefully dark, softly nostalgic, and touchingly personal. A whole new dimension to delve into and fall in love with. ☺💘
It's funny how there are some Yeule's songs I have to listen more than once to start not just liking but loving them deeply in my heart. And because English is my second language it gets even better when I start understanding and relating to the lyrics ❤😢😊
The melody of this song reminded me of another song and has bothered me all week until I remembered what it was! “Covet” by Basement. The songs as a whole sound completely different but the melody kinda resembles each other in a way.
My 60th or something time listening, I’m just realizing the screaming all through the 2nd and 3rd chorus. The intricacies of this song is crazy. Definitely one of my favorites
This is perfection beyond words. The visuals, the meaning, the story, the vocals, etc. This is art in it's purest form. Everything is heaven sent. I saw Pocky Boy last year and fell in love and I'm falling more and more every day. The greatest solo artist in the world today. I'm going to see them in London no matter what. I love you so much yeule ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was doing my makeup about to watch this video, and specifically avoided the mascara because I knew it'd probably make me cry. Sure enough. I feel this in my chest.
Wow it's already been a month. Sure time flies so fast. Now my earphones not working 😢i miss rotting in my bed while blasting this (still rot but with no earphones) i love you
Oh this new album is gonna be the one. I loved Serotonin II & Glitch Princess but this new album has a very "closure" theme/vibe and I think I'm gonna fall deeply in love with it.
I heard about you from a video I saw a few years back. However it is only now that I started listening to your music. "Sulky Baby" has been on repeat in my mind for a whole week, and this is working a grove into my mind already. Keep up the great work! You earned yourself a new fan!
so dope. love the guitar riff. and the deccelerando into that shoegazey chorus hit me hard, especially with that fucking scream over the top. I really dig the music video too, I think it's cool that you went with the whole ghost in the shell theme
they are one of the best artists of this generation, one of the most sincere, creative and emotional music I've heard in a long time, it's everything that music should be
