I am Seth and I'm embarking on becoming an experienced yew bow maker.
Here I discuss some of the things I have learned during the last year having picked up the craft with no previous knowledge of Yew, archery or woodcraft.
Lengths of bow and how they may tie into other design choices and considerations is what I wanted to focus on here.

I visited Wales Archery Specialists just after making this video and tested all the speeds of the bows shown here
The two 60" were shooting around 130fps
The 76" managed to hit 150fps with a lower draw weight
Not what I had expected until you consider the longer draw length of the longer bow.
It can be hard to pin down exactly what makes an arrow go quicker as there is lots to consider when making bows from Yew.
I hope I am able to enlighten some people as I learn myself
