The Law What else were the „Wildlings“ supposed to do? They are forced to live from infertile, cold soil and adding to that, they have to share their land with mindless zombies and cold blooded monsters that only intend to bring death upon the world. Their only chance to survive is to migrate south, but unfortunately the Night‘s Watch is afraid of women and children who want to have a better life. I personally do condone their fight against the Watch. Fortunately for them, the wise Lord Commander had the same thoughts as mine and does the right thing .
I know it only last a couple hundred pages but JXY is one of my favorite literary romances. It’s a wonderful take on the star-crossed lovers trope. Two characters who both strive for their beliefs up until the very end, yet are still irrecoverably changed by the other. And those final words are so perfect. “You know nothing, Jon Snow.”
One of the saddest scenes in all of the song of ice and fire, that storyline managed to take arguably the most honorable character and have him break his vows hats off to grrm that was truly the human heart in conflict with itself
Jon's chapters in SoS were all great. Up till then I just knew him as like the fan favorite but I didn't know why. This and the his last in CoK changed my mind. Also I just really like the Wildlings.
just read this in the books tonight at actually got misty - the show version was just a reason for us to hate ollie, a character that shouldnt even be there.
I see Jon in this scene as not a man but a young pup in utter denial that his first love is going to die and refuses to except it till she dies. Even though he acts a man he’s still a young teen
Can you do the diologue between Tyrion and Young Griff over the cyvasse game in Dance please. (It is in the chapter that Tyrion gets kidnapped by Mormont - pg 125).
I love your readings. I would like to hear Jaime when he told the truth about Aerys in the bath with Brienne. And also Barristan Selmy telling Daenerys how he escaped KL. I hope you will upload more, I wish you the best :)
Dude. You've gotta do more. I'd so love to hear more of your readings. Especially with all your friends you did it with the Davos at Storms End Chapter. I'd so love to hear you all to do Theon's Winds of Winter Chapter. I'd even pay you all for it.
I do have a request if you dont mind. If you could do the reading for when Jaime reveals that secret to Tyrion and then Tyrion goes off on him that would be sweet
Great reading your the best at it if you ever do more chapter readings consider Bran 3 ADWD there is so much going on in that chapter I know you would make the reading epic
You could do the quote of Aegon III Targaryen in fire and blood ? The one when he is 16 years old and (basically) say to his "council" to fuck off and leave his city.
Can you do Mel’s R’hollor speech from Davos I? It’s the one where Stannis burns the Seven on the beach of Dragonstone and is proclaimed Azor Ahai. I’ve always that it was super cool to read! PS Thanks for giving us such great ASOIF content.
This scene is way more powerful on the page than on the screen. Oli being the one to kill her, right in front of Jon Snow was just too heavy handed, and that little nod he made toward Jon after putting an arrow in his one true loves chest gave the scene more of a dark humour type of vibe than a tragic one.
