I HATE the infomercial bullshit most youtubers do. I try and be realistic and honest. Even the best product has to have 1 thing someone could interprete as "negitive" to them.
Great, if you need any help feel free to shoot me an email. It's in the description. I'll point you in the right direction as best as I can. Not affiliated with anyone, just trying to help make these things more common.
Yeah man I really love the Superlative Arms adjustable bleed off gas blocks... if you're not running suppressed you can just use the adjustable gas block but if you are you can bleed a bunch of the excess pressure off instead of sending it out the injection port. I'm also a big fan of the Turbo T2 it is a little crappy the way they did their warranty but I've luckily never had to use a suppressor warranty. That said things happen and piece of mind is worth a little more money so I'd rather they just upped the price a bit...
Great video man! last year I was buying my first can and originally ordered a Resonator r2 but right after found out about Yhm rescinding their warranty. Luckily I had just ordered it a few days prior so I was able to swap it for a sandman s. Being my first can I definitely felt more comfortable with the warranty. I am considering the turbo though. Seems like a sweet little can for the money
Watching this video to justify my purchase, lol. Just seemed like the best bang for the buck for me. It’s not going to be see heavy use from me, so I don’t need a $1000 can. Mine should get out of jail in 6 months….
I'm sure you'll like it. I try to be real with people. It's a great can, just don't expect to it to be 300 blk or 22 suppressed quiet. I wore ears most of the time I've been shooting the thing.
I’ve had mine for a few years and haven’t really cleaned it. I did take it apart and some bits of carbon came out. I know they don’t need frequent cleaning, but would it be safe to put this in a sonic bath? I’m sure the aluminum would be ok, more worried about the finish
Weight it. If it doesn't weight more then 6oz more then it came from the factory I wouldn't worry about cleaning it. You'll need a ton of rounds to get there. Also there's no aluminum in this can.
Finally just got the Ok to go pick mine up yesterday. After the vid I am not sure if I made the right choice. Price point was nice and my first supressor. Throwing it on a Springfield Saint. Bet your from Pa.
I probably didn't talk about it enough in the video but I actuslly don't mind the backpressure. I run alot of tuned pistons so it's a moo point for me. I was just pointing it out for others.
yeah. I found the T2 is less gassy than the K. Also a lot of people claim the surefire mini 2 is actually more gassy than the full size 556 RC2. Common misconception with k cans it seems.
@im me it's been a while since I've shot a turbo next to a k but from what I remember they were about the same. I actually gave the slight backpressure edge to the k.
While I completely get your frustration, they never said anything about a guarantee. They said expected/projected 90 day approvals. I'm on your side, I think it should get approved faster, if not completely be abolished but the reality is paper forms have been 12+ months so I'd be naive if I said there wasn't an improvement.
@@theoriginaldashriprock what's the point of this conversation? I read the 90 day turnaround ads from silencer shop, did my e form and still waiting. Them not sticking to their words is a totally different issue.
Just shot mine on my BRN180 for the first time today. I had read it has more back pressure, but my BRN won't cycle on the suppressed gas setting. Cycled fine on the unsuppressed setting. Do you think running it on regular unsuppressed would be too rough on the rifle?
Good question. First off, Nothing is going to perform good on a 7.5" 556. You'll always be loud, it's going to also be fairly flashy, and that Short of a barrel length is going to be ungodly hard on the can.. The best you can do is tame it down. With all that out of the way, the Turbo is only rated down to a 10" barrel. You'll need a beefy can to work for that. I'd recommend a Rugged razor 556 or a Silencerco Saker 556. Both of those are stellite core cans that can take the abuse.
They didn’t retroactively change it - they did like most companies do with warranty changes, kind of a “line in the sand” - any suppressors sold after “X” date have the “new” warranty. What he says in this video about YHM “rescinding” the warranty and “not honoring previous warranties” is entirely incorrect.
Whenever I reached out to YHM they stated what I said in the video. A buddy had a turbo that he bought in 2019 and they wouldn't honor his warranty. Either what I said and was told was correct or they're inconsistent in their stance on this.
I hope something changed and they've went back to honoring the previous warrantys. Know that this video is getting older and if stuff has changed since, I can't retroactively edit the video. I'll reach out again to YHM for clarification. I really hope your right but again based off my conversation with them the day of this video being made as well as real world story's including that of a personal friend of mine, i am under understanding the old warranty wasn't being honored anymore. If it has been I'll make an update. Also know that I make these videos to help people. When something like this happens I'm making the video looking out for the consumer. I don't have a dime in the game. I make no money off the industry and have no ulterior motives.
Good question, I haven't ran it on one yet. Don't own a 223 or smaller bolt gun (besides Rimfire).. I'd assume it would be great based off the fact that it's higher backpressure therefore more restrictive.
I ran that can on my lwrc 8 inch barrel sbr, it's super quite and was fun to shoot. My sandman s on the same gun was loud by much. And was way more gassy
