I would like to thank you for this video. If it wasn't for you, i would probably have not changed the battery even if it was almost dead. Now the camera has a second life. I went with a 350mAh battery with was almost the same size (dimensions wize) as the original. Best regard and many thanks.
In my mirror, the display was mounted to the top panel, the rest of the elements were similar, the battery was replaced for 500 mAh. Thanks for the tips :)
Hey Glen, thanks so much for this - 2 things: 1) where did you get the replacement battery 2) any side effects from replacing a three wire battery with a 2 wire battery?
I just got it off eBay. And no, I haven’t had any side effects of any kind. It runs just as good as ever. The battery is only ever one bar down from full whenever I see it before it charges up.
This is amazing!!How did you open this dashcam, that's the first step to know. If you could have added that in your video it would be very helpful. Did that plastic pry tool make scratches on the surface?
My time and date settings keeps reseting and also the settings. I've checked the battery inside and it's nearly 4v which makes me think the battery is fine. Is there anything else that could cause this issue
It’s written on the front of the battery, you can see in the video, but here: 603450P 3.7V 1000mah (202102) 3 pin battery sold on eBay Amazon AliExpress or any of the other millions of battery shops 😉
No sorry I can’t say what could be the problem. If you got all the wiring correct and the battery you installed is the correct voltage, I have no idea why it wouldn’t work
All wiring are correct, correct voltage 3.7v with 3 wire and 4000mah, i check the new battery with tester and its giving 3.8v.. maybe mine have diff problem, will bring it to the technician to check.. thanks
Yue Moonchi video lacks explanation and good guidance, I think he did it without big effort tbh but whatever, thanks for explaining in details!!! Seems like his video is more for $ on clickbait
