Great match. On another note. We're all trying hard to grow wrestling. I'm having trouble seeing how multiple sites like FLO, ROFKIN and others charging 100 plus a yr to gain access to these great matches helps viewership and helps to spread the sport to others.
Yianni looks wayyy thicker. He absolutely put on some muscle in his time off. I watched a match of his from like sophomore year hs recently and it’s crazy to see the changes now. Even in college he still had his patent awkward funky build just with more muscle than his younger days. This though is by far the strongest and biggest he has looked. He def hit the weights cuz even his legs are way thicker.
I have to disagree. 65KG has Takuto Otoguro, Rashidov, Aliyev, Khinchegashvili, that one cheating jerk from Kazakhstan, AND Bajrang Punia just to name only a FEW in that weight class
@@otto8936 Vlad is undoubtedly still a great wrestler. But he hasn’t been producing much achievements since 2017. In fact, it doesn’t matter that Yianni beat Punia (granted that Punia was exhausted from travel at that beat the streets event). Punia was beaten very decidedly by Haji Aliyev, who was beaten by Otoguro in the finals of the Olympics. Need I remind you Otoguro beat Rashidov (a guy who has never lost to any American wrestler), coming from Japan, a country that pales in comparison to America and Russia in terms of wrestling resources (coaches, good training partners and such). Meaning, Otoguro is naturally EXTREMELY TALENTED. The likelihood of Yianni winning gold is slim. Very slim. Especially since he has to go through Rashidov, Aliyev, Otoguro, and Musukaev (oh wait, Yianni already lost to him last time they wrestled)
Right here. Not going to lie I like Flo Wreslting, but am not going to get the subscription tho. Like today, I wanted to watch that JB vs ZV match, but couldn’t because I’m not going to spend $12.50 a month. Valencia is my favorite current or recently current college wrestler and I saw he lost 8-5, that’s tough and all but still not getting the subscription.
@@frankdukes3499 I understand they need to make money but I have no money to spend currently. Not pay day yet plus there’s more importers things for me to spend money on. I love wrestling and one day want to be a head coach but right now I’m not getting the subscription
Especially if you can avoid being double-legged, it’s essential for power when exploding. That’s how most sprinters start their races without blocks if so.
at 3:02, does anyone know why the ref blew the whistle and stopped it? It looks like Vlad was working something. This happens a few times, makes the matches not sporty. I wrestled when I was in school and they would let it play out.
Wasn’t any problems for me this event. Watched all of the matches live. I’ve never had any problems with watching events live with Flo, including Chamizo VS Dake
They need to go OT unlimited until a takedown. Sick of seeing guys win on ties lmao who cares if u had two twos or four ones or scored first or last it’s that same score
The first call being 2 blue 1 red I don’t understand. Yianni was in control the whole time. I am new to freestyle rules but that seems really silly that it’s not considered a takedown for Yianni.
Freestyle gives points for exposure. He got 2 because the referee felt that blue initiated an action that exposed red's back. Once 2 points was awarded, its then treated as though blue scored the takedown. Red then "finishes the takedown" but because of what I mentioned previously red instead scores a 1 point reversal.
@@buterz56 I get the rule now, thanks. But it makes no sense to treat exposure the same as a takedown. If they want to reward exposure, I could understand giving blue 2 points for exposure and then red 2 points for the take down. Red initiated the shot and ended the exchange in control.
@@SHIFTKICK I think treating it the same is poor choice of words on my part. Think of it as a risk reward situation. Blue took a risk and it paid off. Red made a mistake so it shouldnt necessarily be rewarded equally. Makes the offensive wrestler have to be smarter about how they approach takedowns. Can't just get wild and hope to come out on top and break even at worst. Its also not about time exposed its about who has control and who initiates the action. Red initiated the takedown but blue altered the action enough to make it their own and score. Same would be true if red stopped blues action and controlled blue on his back for some amount of time. Another way blue could have earned his point back is if he scored a reversal that exposed red's back the same way, he could've earned 2. There's probably better explanations out there than I can give but im glad I was able to clear up why it was scored the way it was.
The on-screen clock is not perfectly in sync with the match clock. You can hear the buzzer go off right before the foot goes out of bounds. Even regardless, a ref wouldn't go through the trouble of awarding such a close point since it would make no difference to the outcome of the match. Whether you're ahead by one point (5-4) or ahead on criteria (4-4), it's still a win.
Enough of the period crap. This is a combat sport between two individuals. Let's give the sport the respect it deserves and call em rounds. Basketball players and women have periods.😂😂😂😂
