Basically stans are obsessed fans. I think it used to have a much more negative meaning, like sasaeng in kpop, but nowadays it just means you like a group or a person more than usual. For instance, I like Wenhan's UNINE but I stan Seungoun's X1. And I stan UNIQ, obviously. 🙂

@@mereropata-box8997 hey, fellow kiwi! yeah, stan used to have a really negative meaning (it was originally a cross between stalker and fan) but it's mellowed these past few years to just mean someone you like and support. internet language is really different from new zealand english and i've had to do my fair share of asking too! fyi: urban dictionary helps
