I was reading 1Cor 6:19-20 today. This beautiful song popped into my spirit. Thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice, your body is now God’s home. Yield Not To Temptation. Be blessed everyone. God is real.❤️
I watch a show on RU-vid called "Ask the Pastor". One of the pastors mentioned this song when I asked the question, "What do you say to a person that says the devil made me do it"? It led me here. God bless everyone seeing this 🙏🕊️💞
Thank you so much for posting this.I was feeling a bit down and this came to my memory I. searched it on You Tube and found all you lovely people had made comments. I learned it in Sunday School when I was about 5 years old. Now I am 74. What amazing words we sang then and we learned it by heart. May God Bless all who are touched by this very Special song. I truly believe our FATHER is encouraging us as we wait for the Rapture in these very dark days.love you all Dei. Keep looking Up💜☝️💜💜💜
3/12/21: I sing along with these lyrics, which takes me back in time to my High School Days in Kingston, Jamaica. We sang songs like this one, at General Assembly, twice-a-week.
This song is a total hook to Jesus and holiness, it will pull you away from the wickedness and perverseness of this age. The line that reads...." each victory will help some other to win" - is very real as you match on sin and conquer the powers of darkness and walk with God with the focus to get the crown of overcomes.
Thank you for this encouraging hymn! What a strong reminder! These hymns truly ministered to the soul! So easily we yield to temptation to speak, think, etc what we ought not because we don't pray ceaselessly and take our eyes off the Lord Jesus and focus on distractions or accept Satan's lies.
I haven't heard or sang this song since I was probably 5 yrs old, I'm 54 now. For some reason it came into my head today but I could only remember part of the refrain. With so much going on around me in the world today, this song is very comforting.
God has offices for men and women. Search the scriptures. . .As far as elder is concerned , a woman cannot be "the husband of one wife." Search out what is legitimate and what is illegitimate. Pleasing God through Christ,His only begotten Son,should be our goal in all cases. It is truly through God in Christ that we shall make it in all cases. If American Congregations do not adhere to the revealed word of the Bible they will not make it.
