HI Saugot - there are a number of sources of the Brahmaputra River. The main source is out near Mt Kailash in Western Tibet. The Yigong and Parlung Tsangpo are two very large tributaries that flow south into the main Tsangpo Gorge not far from the Indian border. Indeed an amazing region.
Thanks for the video.I am from Assam, and we are aware of river Brahmaputra, because we grow hearing and seeing this mighty river, but never seen up so close its source. :) Thanks again.
I think I watched the original film of this on a VHS. It was an Aussie production and they went to Lhasa and saw a sky burial. I've been trying to find that film for years and years. Does anyone know where I can find it?
Yarlung not Yigong. Yarlung is the name of the valley through which the Tsangpo flows and it is also the region where Tibetan civilization began along the Yarlung.
You might not got the full information. Yigong is just a tributary of main stream and Yarlung is believed to be the main stream coz it flow with larger size and cover more distance than all other tributary. Before Parlung join Yarlung there are many more streams but to form Yarlung Tsangpo there are two main stream and yigong is one of them.
