Yiheng is very cracked at this, and his solving skills are improving, he is less simple and more efficient now than when he did his first wr avg, and i think he is understating his pbs, that's very scary. Thanks for the interview!!!

Nice insight on Yiheng's practise and thoughts. He is already at the top of the speed cubing community but still has a long way to go on his journey. I feel like Yiheng might not be totally upfront about his PB averages. It could be the whole "humble" thing, common in Chinese culture, where you act less capable than you are to surprise folks later. Asians do this a lot, especially in school, like before exams, people often downplay their readiness and stuff.

I think you mean sub 3, but yeah, that is insane. I think 3.73 is a UWR , and I think its a UWR by a lot! I don't even think anyone else in the world has a sub 4 ao5. But since his WR average is so much lower than everyone else, 3.73 is believable.

He's done 300 or so official solves (with comp nerves) and he has a 4.48 ao5. He says he does this many at home daily (without nerves) though I expect he does more. It's only a matter of probability of him getting some nice solves in a row.
