@shannahill7 i have a masters in social science. There may be a correlation between ticks and lying but it would be weak. There is really no good way to scientifically study this because there is no way to do a control. I challenge you to find a study that is peer reviewed thar says throat clearing (or any tick) is a response to lying. You may find case studies but those cannot be considered representative of a population.

Sadly, yes. In my field (law), junior attorneys are often asked to be at client meetings, trials, trainings, and aren’t permitted to bill for them. Which means they don’t count toward their monthly requirements. Which means they need to make those hours up somehow. Huh, maybe that’s why I’m self-employed. The real kind, not the MLM kind 😅

She makes people feel special the second she meets them. It's very deliberate and calculated, and, unfortunately, also very effective. It's why we get the shivers watching videos of literal cult leaders, but somehow they've managed to create cults full of horrific abuse and stuff. Part of it is them, but it's also about the type of person they target. People feeling lost in some way who are immediately convinced that what they're looking for will be found by becoming attached to this person. Obviously this is a very generalized comment and there's way more to it all than this, but that's my cliffsnotes version 😛

@@IAMCCSuarez : I get what you are saying- she does exude confidence. But it’s a very self-aggrandizing confidence. She just turns me off immediately. Listening to her is exhausting. (IMHO). However, she is very successful (financially) at what she does, so she must have something I just can’t see. Tangent: I get the feeling that all she has in her life is money- no real friends, no family- no one who truly cares for her to keep her grounded. So- very oddly- I feel kind of sad for her- she only has herself.
