I bought the 4/10 and the 28 bore Kofs sometime ago, and have had lots of pleasure from both. My son went and bought the 12 bore and 20 bore this weekend. So between us we have the set! The feel and shootability of the Kofs is lovely, and never feels like a cheap gun. My son and I did 50 ball trap with the Kofs 4/10 and my Caesar Guerini 4/10, one after the other with just the two of us on the lay out. Both guns got so hot, you could have fried eggs on the barrels, but both guns gave a good account of themselves and didn't break. It's also something I wouldn't want to repeat or recommend doing. Both Choked three quarters and full. Both 30 inch. Fiocchi Magnum 7.5s Scores. Me 32/50. Caesar Guerini. My Son 36/50. Kofs. 2nd place had to buy the Chinese takeaway.........

Good job on comparison. I've been pleased with the value I've gotten out of my SPZ ME Steel frame. Reliable thus far and build quality seems good. Fully chromed barrels (black chrome exterior) should offer good long term weather resistance, too. That said, I recently lucked into a minty Weatherby Orion (made in Japan by SKB) at the same money, and wow, nice gun!

Brought a scepter sxe 12 bore yesterday , out on the clays today and the front grip became loose ( bit of a wiggle but not hanging of ) not sure if manufacturing issue but wish I'd spent more for a more solid gun . shoots really well and nice weight. Just that 1 issue

Thanks so much for reviews like this. I could never afford the guns I really want, so addressing the lower end of the over under market helps people like me in the decision making process. Whilst I have not seen a poor review of the Yildiz, I have not found a review comparing fit tolerances in regard to actual measurements, this may be going a bit too far for a $500.00 gun but after all it is about precision and the quality of materials.

Good review. I have the kofs and for a £500 shotgun I have put people to shame at competitions with there £1000+ shotguns. Don't get me wrong they are beginner comps but just shows they are just as good. Never missed a beat and never had a problem.

Doesn’t matter how good/expensive the shotgun is just matters how good the person shooting is.

The Kofs are imported into the U.S. by Savage and sold as the Stevens Model 555. Purchased one in 16 gauge last year and have put around 500 rounds through it at the trap range with no issues. Paid $525 for it. Great gun for the money. Shooting trap with it to break it in. I will use it for dove and crow hunting going forward.

Got the impression there was not much to choose between the two? Given the similar price point maybe a longer review looking at action fit and finish, what about chokes?

got me a yildiz 20g legacy hps. First shotgun so I have no idea ha! but so far I love it. @0g seems like a good fit for my hunting style but ammo so hard to get I am considering another gun in 12g. . .

The Yildiz seems to have at least a hint of figure in the wood. It was certainly more attractive than the dead plain wood on the recently reviewed Beretta SP1 costing nearly 3 times as much.

Do you know if the Yildiz 28 bore is built on a true 28 bore action? (Maybe there's no such thing and manufacturers just use a 20 bore action??)

Super great video sir!! You didn’t mention that both guns have aluminum alloy receivers. Not the greatest material for longevity over the years. Maybe if used hunting a few times a year, they are fine. Not highly recommended for sporting clays.

Yildiz spz and if I don't slope the grease on it won't open once it gets hot. Then i have to use two fringers to force the locking lever to open.

I've seen a few Kofs advertised over here. They look nice but with second had silver pigeons hitting the market at 700 quid and life time service warranty I'd rather pay more.

@@tgsoutdoors Thanks for your reply Johnny. I personally think its a better built gun than either the Yidiz or the Kofs, it has steel reciever and nice colour case hardening I dont think the model is for sale any more personally think it was under priced

KOFS is available in baby frame subgauges whereas 20 and 28 gauge Yildiz are on the same oversized receiver. Yildiz handles very heavy loads without doubling. And y'all get a better finished grade Yildiz with a longer warranty than we get in the states We do pay ~10% less for them, though.
@tgsoutdoors

@@tgsoutdoors They only send us the .410 on the baby frame. Makes the 28 rather pointless.
