논산 훈련소에서 취침 전 흘러나왔던 이 곡. 낯선 공간에서 신기하게 이 노래만 들으면 마음이 차분해지곤 했는데 전역 후에서야 이 노래의 제목을 알았습니다. 그 후로 쭉 제 휴대폰의 벨소리이며 잠이 정말 안 올 때 득는 곡입니다. 신기하게도 전역하고 제대로 듣기 시작한지 벌써 몇년이나 지났지만 단 한번도 질리지 않았던 곡입니다. 제 인생에서 매우 중요한 곡이고 앞으로도 쭉 그럴 것 같습니다.

이루마는 정말 사랑스럽다. 내가 그를 좋아하는 이유는 여러가지이지만 그 중 제일인 것은 나에게 이상적인 청각적 경험을 선물해준다는 것이다. 나는 종종 다른 연주자의 연주를 들을 때면 보다 나은 음들의 조합을 상상하곤한다. 하지만 이루마의 연주를 듣고있을 때면 내 머릿속이 보다 나은것을 상상하기 보다는 그의 음들이 내가 상상할 수 있는 것들중 으뜸임을 알려준다. 정말 좋다.
곡이 너무 좋아서 학창시절에 진짜 푹 빠져서 열심히 악보 보며 쳤던 기억이 있는데, 지금 보니 저와 아예 다른 곡을 치고 계시네여 ㅋㅋㅋ 물론 음 몇가지를 실제 바꾸신 것도 있지만, 강약 조절도 너무 다르고, 느려졌다 빨라졌다도 다르고 감정 싣는 건 아예 다른 스케일이네여 마냥 밝기만 한 곡이 아니라 너무너무너무너무 많은 사연이 느껴지는 곡 전개와 음계랄까 시간이 많이 흘렀는데도 진짜 이 곡만큼 제 심장을 빠르게 뛰게 하는 곡은 없는 것 같습니다. 이루마님께서 이 곡을 작곡하실 때, 어떤 감정으로 쓰셨는지도 너무 궁금할 정도.. 사람 마음을 복잡하게 만들어버리네여.. 너무 눈을 감고 깊게 멜로디를 따라가면 눈물이 절로 나올 정도랄까 여튼 너무 사랑스러운 곡입니다.
제가 피아노를 다시 치고 싶어서 디지털피아노를 제 방에 들여놓은 뒤로 제일 처음 익혀서 친게 바로 이 곡입니다. 활동하는 카페에서 누군가 이 곡을 올렸는데 무조건 배워야겠다 싶어서 악보 구하고 바로 연습 돌입했죠. 음계만 보면 어려운 곡은 아니나, 감정 싣는게 정말 어려운 곡입니다. 예전에 회사 로비에서 이 곡 쳤더니 바로 인싸됐었음 ㅋ
It's songs like this that make me SO GRATEFUL to have not only the knowledge to play the piano, but the hands and fingers to do it-- the eyes to read music, and ears to hear its beauty. Such a lovely song. :')

i love yiruma's music. it always has that korean drama feel to it. the romantic and nostalgic kind of aura is always nice to hear. it makes me feel like im falling in love.

어렸을 때는 피아노 치는게 그렇게 싫어서 5년이나 배웠었다가 결국엔 끊었는데 나이 서른 먹고 다시 배우면서 이 곡을 치고 있는데 그 때 왜 피아노 열심히 치라는 어머니 말을 안 들었을까 매우 후회중입니다... 그때 열심히 쳤으면 지금쯤 웬만한 어려운 것들도 건드려볼 순 있었을 텐데...
@TheBiiman No, it's not jazz. The pianist who's playing and who wrote this song is Yiruma. He's a South Korean pianist in his late 20s/early 30s. I'm not quite sure how old he is but he's a young and talented musician.
