Has anyone who is also doing research found out how they fire these? There's one video where the guy says he wood fires it over the course of like 36 hours or something crazy. I know for wood pit firing you only get the clay red hot then let the fire die. I want to make my own clay teapot; this video is definitely the best for how to make it, but I've only found one video on how to fire, and the chinese like to keep their trade secrets secret lol
I love the art, but as a tea lover that is way to big. Most gongfu cha lovers will stick to 100 / 200ml and when dealing with purple clay you want to dedicate it to one type of tea.
Tea pot making might be one of the most secretive modern trades that still holds the "guild trade secrets" from hundreds of years ago. There's also a reason you never see them firing their pots in these videos
