Wow that was just a stunning performance 🤩 Haven't seen a lot of digitoners out there able to make this machine sound so versatile! Just discovered your channel, had to subscribe for this!
Your videos for the Digitone are amazing, great tunes! Do you have any tutorials? I have my Digitakt which I love and I'm still learning, it's my only device, but last week got a Digitone (love my IDM and ambient) too, I love arps you see :)
I love how full these pieces feel with just the 4 tracks and 8 voices. I have the model cycles and being forced to just use the 6 tracks is an undertaking, but you make it sound easy!
@@holografik3327 I definitely want to get either a digitone or a digikeys in the near future, but I do find the cycles to be a joy in itself, lovely little instrument. it can be pushed pretty far I think
fwiw when working multitimbral i really appreciate the voice limitation because it keeps everything under control and makes sure that things dont get too much
is there any music of yours on streaming platform for me to listen? also, would you make a deep dive or tutorial to explain how you got those sounds? cause clearly, you're a genius at this thing
who are you, where are you from …. I am surprised I have not asked before. maybe from a fear that you are an u.f.o :-) Lyra is a killer track…Squarepushy …
There was a time when I thought FM synthesis was kinda lame. I don't think that anymore. This is a freakin masterclass in tones and techniques. Always so unbelievably good.
Agreed. My first proper synth was a DX7 and it didn’t sound like this! Fantastic sounds and equally fantastic melodies. Should be getting sales commission from Elektron 😀
ylva is awesome, and her/his vids are probably one of the main reason for me to get the Digitone. But don't let the DX7 fool you: that is one of the most complex digital synth of all times. What Elektron has put in a box is great, but the DX7 is still an amazing beast to be tamed.
@@intrascendenteyep. It's just a huge pain in the ass to program and the presets all sound dated as fuck (which I don't personally mind because I love cheesy 80s synths but it's obviously not everyone's cup of tea)
Love it. When i hear this kind of demo, i am much more hyped by the digitone than by the syntakt superstar. Great use of what this machine has to offer!
Absolutely mind blowing wow! I’m v late to the party…. But I have a question - I see you pressing the “page” button to trigger toms and little synth line throughout, what’s the magic behind it?
Another demonstration of master-level skills and creativity. The track False Holly sounds like an instrumental Phantogram song and I love it. Lyra Downer reminds me initially of a Lorn song but then it develops into it's very own thing. I love that one too. Thank you for all of this terrific work.
Your work is so stellar, love it! I would like to ask, how much of these performances are pre-planned (off camera), and how much is improv during the recording?
Great arrangements you have made! All the sounds work together so well (and its all mixed beautifully.) Cloth was my favorite. You're making that Digitone sing 👌
Sickness. Totally subscribed. The Digitone is one of my favorite synths, it has a wonderful "soft" quality to its tones which are just so mellow and relaxing to the ear. I have the Keys version myself and the amount of great tones that came in the box was overwhelming. Your use of just it to make these wonderful sounding tracks is truly inspirational and I will continue to listen to your sets.
This is right there alongside miles kvndra's "digitone jam no. 6" for sheer ingenuity. How you both manage to pull such incredible tones out of your digitones is baffling to me
man how are you getting these super long sounding patterns?? Sounding like well over 64 steps with the melody changes but I'm not seeing any pattern chaining? driving me crazy haha. Insanely beautiful set, incredible work
Love this! and seems like "LYV 2 is the second instalment in the LYV trilogy.", from the bandcamp page. Yayyyyy! Very much looking forward to the next one as well!
