They are actually doing it with a certain swedish accent (småländska) and dressed up as a typical early 1900's man. As a swede I'm impressed how authentic it sounds (since they are actually Norwegian)
It's really interesting to watch Ylvis since I know Swedish and a tiny bit Norwegian. Not too well but I manage (I'm Finnish) and the Swedish helps you kinda understand them in Norwegian, but when they start talking Swedish it just gets more confusing cause you're like "No, this isn't what you sound like? What's going on??" and then you realize they switched languages.
hey I'm from Iceland and I live in Norway so... I think it will make a little sense! And they are from Norway and... I dont know what else I could say! just I'm REALLY bored!
Man theese guys are u just great, and it seems that they can speak an insane amount of languages, here they are speaking almost flawless Swedish when in fact theyre from Norway. (our languages are kinnda similar but still)
Hey, I had to learn it and now I'm enjoying the fruits of my labour. Norwegian and Swedish are really easy. Älskar allt för mycket att youtube gissar at här pratas franska :D
It was a little hard to completely get what they were asking for at first, but luckily a lot of words sound similar to Dutch and English, so it's not too difficult :)
Remember, they're actually from Norway, but when they're speaking to the people that gives them water, they are speaking Swedish. Because they are in Sweden, and "hyss" means pranks in Swedish. So yeah. 😂
DailyJune Ow really I didn't know. Anyway all Scandinavian languages are Germanic languages, just like Dutch and English... So therefor not too difficult to understand. Although I find Danish to be the easiest one...
Google "Håller språket ihop Norden?". Rapporten viser at jo, nordmenn forstår "skandinavisk" langt bedre enn svensker og dansker gjør. Men hvem forstår mest? Jo, de bor på Færøyene. Der harde også en fantastisk score på norskforståelse. Who knew?
I agree with you, but tvnorge means TVnorway so that was probably why he got annoyed. Besides you were actually right. They were in sweden when filming this so they are actually speaking swedish when they asked for a glass of water :)
This just totally proves that Scandinavian languages are so close to each other. Oh and because of my basic knowledge I could understand 70-80% of it :)
Its norwegian and swedish.. In the beginning they are speaking norwegian because they are explaining what they're gonna do to the audience... And then when they're asking for a glass of water they're speaking swedish because they're doing it in sweden ;)
Interessant. Jeg visste heller ikke om at de har gått på svensk skole. Calle også? Finnes det noe sånt som en "standard" dialekt på svensk også, sånn som "oslo" dialekten på norsk?
Well, considering that this is a RU-vid channel owned by a TV channel from Norway you cant really expect to much :P But yes, would be nice of them to sub it.
