Except he did it great in the first two avengers movies so what you really mean is everyone trying to imitate his style have zero talent which is what I believe
It’s weird that action games often can’t find that happy medium between super edgy, tryhard “gruff” protagonist and the above it all action movie hero who lazily remarks about how wild everything is.
@@redbigun well I've watched it around 5 times And it gets better for me every viewing I like the witty nature of it with characters I already adore in most things it's so forced
This game/SquareEnix is to fantasy what late stage Rare and Playtonic are to platformers, ashamed of themselves for something they used to excel at and lowkey pissed at you for wanting them to go back to that, so they put in all this quirky garbage dialogue trying to shame you into forgetting you ever liked the older stuff in the first place. It's spiteful
@@DIOBrando-ij2bp the story is also nothing like FF7. It's honestly insane they got away with calling it a remake but people ate it up so what do I know

Hopefully they didn't make her as un-serious as the trailer depicts, but... eesh. If the character's going to act like they know they're in a game (nothing is serious), at least make them aware of that fact, like Deadpool... It's genuinely less fourth-wall breaking than forced characters.
I think the main complaint people may have about Adam commenting on video quality is that every time he gets started on it he spends like 20 minutes being upset, lol
He just sounds so out of touch every time it comes up now, aren’t the majority of people watching RU-vid on their phones on lower quality streaming bc of poor connection anyways? I have never once chose to watch a video at my pc over my phone bc I needed to see every individual particle effect in a video game trailer I don’t own a single 4K screen, I don’t even know anyone who has gone out of their way to purchase one yet, and if normies haven’t adopted it yet. What is the point of complaining? I care too much about this I suppose, I guess I’m like Adam in not knowing when to let things go 🫠
@@cami5173 Quick google search pulled up “In 2021, 44 percent of U.S. television households have a 4K-capable TV set at home compared to 31 percent in 2019.” Looks like a healthy upward trend far as US goes anyway. Nearly half of all people in one of the largest countries owning 4k is a pretty good reason for most content to have 4k at this point as an option I’d say. Not to mention modern gaming consoles offer dynamic 4k and native 4k resolution options as the norm so asking for a current gen game trailer to have 4k is not unreasonable at all really. I hope you get to experience your favorite films or favorite games in 4k some point soon so you can see for yourself why people like me absolutely do toss my phone aside to see a game or film trailer on my tv instead haha
Personal opinion, if you’re not gonna say fuck or fucking, don’t say freaking, just say the sentence with enough emphasis, cause everyone knows you want to use the swear to pack the punch but your rating won’t let you Like if you’re gonna say shit a bunch of times you might as well say fuck
It definitely adds to that cringe factor of the quirky dialogue. Sounds less like a relatable 20-something in a fish out of water situation and more like a youth leader at a church who is about 10 years removed from understanding the cultural zeitgeist.
Most people watch trailers on their phones or on their 1080p monitors. I get that it’s better to watch it in 4K, but to compare it to a trailer release in 240p is a little much. 1080 is still HD.
I was instantly brought back to Chris and Zach making fun of Redditor lingo when I saw this trailer the first time. This almost feels like it's gonna be like that Marvel's Avengers game, but with a fantasy (fore)skin.
Should someone like, tell Adum that he's on the fringe of the consumer-base by having a device that's able to display 2160p at all? Like I'm all for advancing media quality standards and all, but 4K is pretty far from the norm for home media, let alone for a website that's mostly used on PC's and phones. Like it's not even a "used to it thing," it's a "99% of everyone else doesn't even have the hardware required to possibly give a fuck," thing. Like I'm happy for him if he gets it, but it's pretty easy to see how the demand might not be there.
it's just a false argument. 1) most people watching youtube don't do it on 4k monitors. 2) thedigitaltheater has higher bitrate on 1080p trailers already and they look better than youtube's.
Yes. My monitor is 1080p, my tv is 1080p, and I won't be able to afford anything 4K probably ever the way the economy is going. Plus I don't watch trailers anyway
Ok, the 4k complaining is getting out of hand. Most of these trailer reactions just devolve into whining about the video quality of the trailer he's watching or whining about people being annoyed that he never shuts up about it. More than a third of the video just about 4k. Godammit, just let it go ffs!
This kind of dialogue is what I'd like to call "Hey player, isn't this ridiculous? This is ridiculous right? We're both on the same page in regards to the absurdity of this situation right? OK? OK good, I'm just making sure we both know this is not like the real world but is actually like, a fantasy setting, OK?"
I think the problem most people have with Adam bringing up the lack of 4K is that he does it in _every single trailer reaction,_ not that he's complaining about a non-issue or whatever. Like yeah, it would be cool if trailer channels started presenting trailers in 4K, but throwing the same bitchfit about it for every single trailer he watches without fail isn't going to change things.
I can already tell the main writer thinks over exaggerating and being “quirky” is the extent of the writing for this main character they are gonna do. Meanwhile no npc’s will have a fragment of personality
@@domingosjunior6805 what the fuck are you talking about? What's he done that's "cancerous"? Popularised the DUMMMMM noise? He's yet to make a bad film or have dogshit writing like this.
Holy fuck do I wish Adum would stop complaining about the damn 1080p/4k shit (which is hilarious, because he maybe wouldn’t have talked about it for so long if someone didn’t point it out). I don’t think it’s at all unreasonable to expect a big corporation to put out trailers in 4k, but holy god, Adum has bitched about it so much to the point where, at this point, all it warrants is a “wow, not in 4k, fix your shit” AND MOVE ON.
I knew exactly how he's going to react, he's gonna react like anyone else on the planet would, yet I watch anyway. It's just cathartic to watch someone cringe at the same thing you had to suffer through.
Audio designer's definitely used raw clips. Hopefully it's just who ever pieced the trailer together. Otherwise that means the game has no environmental audio effects... at least on voices, which is still dumb. Even a basic light echo helps a shitty studio recording sound present in a hard-surface environment.
Honestly while I agree with Adam completely that we should expect them to upload in 4k, it's still an issue that he spends so much time on it. Like I get it. Just react to the trailer now.
When the issue has become meta… then maybe it’s time to back up a little. Internet comments are annoying (👀) sure, but responding explicitly to internet comments doesn’t normally make for good content… just sayin.
Don’t get me wrong, I agree with Adum that yeah videos should strive to be uploaded in the highest quality possible, but sometimes it’s just annoying that it’s what he prattles on about for like 3 minutes of the beginning of anything he reacts to. He’s done it like 6 times now and it just gets old, like just react to the video dude it’s what I’m here for, not for you to bitch about the quality for 5 minutes while the video plays lmao
I hate her. I hate the cuff. These people suck. “You’re special!” “Me?! Im just a normal giiiirl!! this is craaaazy!!!” Its like a YA novel. The heroine has Lily Singh vibes and i do not enjoy it.
I don't see how more pixels on the screen makes for better content. If something's planned to be released in 4K, it's understandable to want a trailer in that resolution. But otherwise, I don't understand the big deal. I regularly consume media in 480p or fewer
I'll deeefinitely fight for 4k content when my internet can barely handle 1080p and up. The day I can afford stuff that can actually use the best of 4k, I'll fight for it. But now this feels like a 1% issue
Quite, the best monitor I have is 1080p. Even if I had a 2k or 4k monitor I only have a 50 megabit Internet connection, and that's the best available here. Maybe it's just a US issue since all the ISPs are shit here. I doubt I would care that much anyway. I spent many years gaming on a 1152x864 CRT so 1080p still looks pretty good to me.
@@JT5ingh It being in 4k is something very few people care about. And everyone else is tired of hearing those very few people constantly whine about it.
@@JT5ingh Be that as it may, there still isn't widespread adoption of 4k, let alone the bandwidth to stream it. So there's not much incentive to release things in that resolution. I agree that it'd be trivial for a big production company to release a trailer in 4k, but...why, though?
I'm German and in German 'Tante' means 'aunt' and it is pronounced pretty much the same as how they pronounce 'Tanta'. So all I can hear is them talking about this aunt Sila.
Adam complaining about trailers not being in 4K kinda reminds me of when total biscut complained about PC games not being 60 FPS. (FYI its a good thing he complains about it)
The worst part is that they repurposed Agni's Philosophy into this, so basically that one game everyone that saw that techdemo wanted has now become an Ubisoft open world game with a rejected character from a Life is Strange game.
I have to be perfectly honest, I fail to grasp Adum's irritation with 1080p. It makes me not enjoy watching a lot of his trailer reactions because I know he'll spend 2-3 minutes angry about the video quality as opposed to the actual content people clicked for. In all the times I've seen him upset about it, he's never adequately explained WHY it's an issue. It's a promotional trailer half the people will see on a tiny phone or laptop screen. I'm an average Joe, and even when a setting over 1080p is an option, I never go over it because it slows my internet. My assumption is that they don't bother because 4k would take longer to render and upload to RU-vid, and it would only be to appease a small minority of people.
I think the main reason is because companies have no excuse at this point. Sure most people will be watching on a phone or laptop or whatever but it's not about that, you can still watch it in 1080p if you don't see a difference, but it's actually about these billion dollar companies being lazy. Longer to upload is just not a factor when these people do not have the same equipment than the average joe they have better and more than enough resources and time to upload it in 4K. If you were part of the industry or understood how this part of it works you'd understand why it's lazy and why it's a problem, Adam understands that because he understands the industry. Sure for the average consumer it doesn't make much difference but for professionalism and to show that they give even a tiny shit about their consumers is why it's reasonable to be upset about it. Adam also rags on the same companies for not including subs which is much more of a problem as basically they don't give a shit about deaf people and usually the 1080p issue and lack of subtitles come hand in hand. He can be a bit over the top and go on a bit I get that but, remember Adam is always like this when it comes to these things so either accept it or don't watch the content, or you could just skip that part until you get to the part you actually enjoy. Plus most people who watch Adam don't watch because of the title of the video, they watch because it's a video by Adam, so we're there for him and what has to say, if you want to just watch a trailer...do just that.
It's starting to come off as extremely unrelatable. 95 % of people on this planet right now cannot afford a 4K display, have other things to worry about and probably don't even need a 4K display. It's cool he cares about this stuff and is also educating people on the importance of screen resolution, but he's doing it wrong. Don't insult people for disagreeing, don't insult people for feeling offended (when you're indirectly flaunting your wealth - 4K screens are extremely expensive), and don't bring it up every 2 seconds please.
@@litguru4748 you don't need a 4k display to watch 4k what are you one about? It might not be full on 4k but it does make a difference I'm poor af my PC is from 2012 and it can stream 4k fine so cant afford or flaunting wealth is just not an argument. But I do agree he can go on but again that's him, deal with it or don't watch, simple.
@@TheCraftedCreepers95 Yes, it is an argument. You or me choosing 4k for YT videos when our display is Full HD or 2K does make a difference, but it's not as big a difference as if you had a true 4K screen. It's hardly even comparable. You are not going to magically add pixels to your Full HD screen by just activating 4K. You're just reducing compression I guess. I did deal with it by finally giving a comment after dealing with the last 10 videos he mentioned 4K, and by not watching this video to the end and downvoting it. I'm well aware of how critique and consumer behaviour works, but thanks I guess.
@Luke Sweeney That's... not how that works. If you have a screen that displays in 1080p, even if you have something set to 4k, it will still only be displayed as 1080p by your screen because it physically *can't* go any higher. Just because 4k *plays* doesn't mean it's actually being *displayed* as such. Hell, many cell phones *record* in 4k, and even they can't *display* said 4k - only whatever resolution the hardware had. First result on Google explains that.
I'm on Adum's side her, but I don't think there will be a (relatively) large movement for demanding 4K trailers when most people don't use 4K screens. RU-vid videos still look better in 4K anyways, but you get my point.
I don't think most people even have 4k monitors. Maybe when that's the norm, 4k trailers will be the norm. Comparing it to 240p is a little exaggerated though because 240p you can't even tell what you're looking at.
I don’t think he was just trying to exaggerate… it feels like bad faith straw manning more than an attempt at a joke or something. There are legitimate reasons to be against or simply not care about the 4K thing. Seems like adum assuming he can’t be wrong about the subject and insisting detractors are crazy.
I feel like the issue adum has with the resolution is more on youtube compressing their videos so much rather than the trailer not being in 4k. Also 4k videos lead to buffering which leads to losing the viewers attention which studios do not want to happen so this is an issue he will be whining about until the end of time or until internet speeds are able to keep up.
there's like freaking dragons and purple critters and I can move shit with my freaking mind. ermmmmmmmmmmm yep. i guess you could say I'm a freaking wizard.
I have yet to meet another person so obsessed with the resolution of trailers like Adum I get it when it comes to video game trailers since you want to see what a game is capable of but Ive never heard a single person except for adum complain about movie trailers
He complains cause it doesn't make any sense. They film these movies in incredible resolutions, why wouldn't they upload a trailer that resembles the final product? RU-vid gives them every opportunity.
@@makani9004 Because people are not going to watch RU-vid on screens that support 4k, even if they have the bandwidth for it. This is like asking why they don't only sell luxury cars, it's a dumb complaint.
Okay, so I don't mind Adum ranting about 4K, but this is a highlights channel, so maybe edit those parts out? A highlight channel should cut the fat and only show the most important stuff.
